He's probably referring to an annual sports gala in Norway where all kinds of awards are given to people who have impressed in some way related to sports. Magnus won the "people's prize" in 2014 but wasn't even nominated this year, possibly due to a controversy surrounding his chess club. There has been some writings in newspapers about it, most people think it's outrageous that he wasn't even considered for his performance in what may have been his best year ever.

I like how Magnus Carlsen is just like asleep the entire match and just doesnt care and then when he sees there is little time left and actually has to try he just destroys them

The first 30 seconds of this made me laugh so hard. Magnus condemns himself for not remembering insignificant things like the names of random online players lmao

"The idea is supposed to be that the knight on f3 is misplaced and black has the easier play. Whether it´s true I don't know, but in general I would say I'm pretty happy about the outcome of the game" Who confidently makes these claims about opening theory when Magnus is unsure? Very Dunning-Kruger when anyone makes a claim about chess that Magnus isn't sure about. Goes to show how little we really know and how complex the game is.

This guy play well ! Not using any magical move but it was pretty clever till the end. I would've consider one of my best games but Magnus taking me seriously for 10 secs would've be enough to totally destroy me.
