No doubt that Hozier he is a great musician, singer and songwriter. But in this performance I noticed that sometimes, even if the mic is at different distances from his mouth, the volume of his voice remains clear and constant despite the movement of the microphone. (0:27, 1:21, 1:31...) Do you think it is a subtle use of playback or a real-time audio mixing ?

ОбзорТекст песниВидео It can't be said I'm an early bird It's ten o'clock before I say a word Baby, I can never tell How do you sleep so well? You keep telling me to live right To go to bed before the daylight But then you wake up for the sunrise You know you don't gotta pretend, baby, now and then Don't you just wanna wake up, dark as a lake? Smelling like a bonfire, lost in a haze? If you're drunk on life, babe, I think it's great But while in this world I think I'll take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me I take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me Ooh, ooh-ooh Ooh, ooh-ooh Ooh, ooh-ooh Ooh, ooh-ooh I aim low, I aim true and the ground's where I go I work late where I'm free from the phone And the job gets done But you worry some, I know But who wants to live forever, babe? You treat your mouth as if it's Heaven's gate The rest of you like you're the TSA I wish that I could go along, babe, don't get me wrong You know, you're bright as the morning, as soft as the rain Pretty as a vine, as sweet as a grape If you can sit in a barrel, maybe I'll wait Until that day I'd rather take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me I take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me Whoa, oh-oh Whoa, oh-oh Whoa, oh-oh Whoa, oh-oh Whoa, oh-oh Whoa, oh-oh Whoa, oh-oh Whoa, oh-oh I take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me

Finally there's art in the lyrics again, after a long time. But once more... SURPRISE: The grammys will be for Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Cyrus, Eilish and more of that crap music... If you notice, 'Take me to church' was pure art, I mean the music and the lyrics! But they choose Sam Smith :/ Hozier has proven he's a great writer, J.Joyce would be proud. Plus, Ireland is a country that has true musical gems: U2, The Cranberries, Sinéad O'Connor...

Totally agree
@priiifrg7 ай бұрын
That's such a dumb take. Imagine saying this is art but discrediting taylor swift and billie eilish. I LOVE this song (that's why I'm here) but Taylor has so many songs with lyrics more 'artsy' than this one. She is literally known for her lyrics. Perhaps if you stepped out of your pretentious shell and actually listened to her albums (not only but especially folklore and evermore) without prejudice you could see that.

there’s nothing wrong with pop it’s POPular for a reason and the lyrics are still immaculate he never dumbs his music down you just can’t enjoy anything cuz ur too worried about being different and deep

It's also deeper than you think it is. Give the lyrics a second glance. Man's subtly dissing this person lol. You're "too sweet" like it's too good to be true and it's a little creepy cuz you're hiding something. 😂
