Holy smokes! If the first half was "what happens when your men go wandering through a German forest" the second half is "what happens when you slam into the front of a Roman century" Perfect display of the strengths of the rule set!

Absolutely brilliant set of videos Rich. Really enjoyed the full lockdown set of videos explaining force make ups but this was so enjoyable. The tactical element really comes into this game. The core mechanics are very simple to understand just like in Sharp Practice. Really look forward to more content.

Excellent trilogy of videos Rich, you’ve explained the rules well and shown how different each game could be. What I really enjoy about your rules systems is the fun and flexible scenarios that make for great narrative. I’m certainly glad I’ve pre ordered the complete bundle 👍😁

Thanks. I'm slightly frustrated that I wasn't able to show more of the mechanisms. However, we are filming more tomorrow for part 4 and 5 and hope to get 6 and 7 done before release. That may be slightly optimistic.

Very good stuff, the card activation system can make for some rather interesting situations - I really thought the hairies in the woods would make all the difference to the fortunes of the romans but they ended up not being able to follow up at all! Looking forward to seeing the next gameplay videos, and of course getting my mitts on the rules ;)

So far - I think my favorite part of the game is the use of the cards. If you play them just right it could really influence the outcome of a conflict and tip the game in your favor. Easy to understand, difficult to master.

Use of the Signa cards and the special abilities they confer is critical to success!

Awesome playthrough! I noticed that the barbarians seem to suffer from wobbly-miniature syndrome, especially when towards the end. You can use a bit of blue tack/mounting putty, to keep them steady. It's a temporary fix, whereas magnets would be a permanent one. Hope that helps!

Just an FYI. On the Infamy Infamy playlist, Part 2 is listed twice and Part 3 isn't there. Only noticed as I'd selected play full list and Part 2 started playing again. Great series.

Statistically, Rolling more dice gets you a more norm outcome. I played DBMM a lot and it's amazing how often a 6:1 adversarial dice roll completely skews combat!

It really is a taste thing, some like the feel and vissual of lots of dice, some like the more average outcome, conversly some like the cleaner more controlled few dice, or enjoy the dramatic swings of more extreeme results of less dice (I personnaly enjoy the d20 swing of Frostgrave, but am also happy to count out a bucket of dice, so I am a bit more in the middle and always happy).

What I really did not understand is why those first two groups of Germans had never come out of the woods and hit Romans into the flank or rear. Could not they be rallied while activated?

Владислав Сухорученков Their leader wasn’t activated, so he couldn’t rally the Shock. That left them inert at the critical moment.

It looked like Rich was soft pedalling to me. That first ambush could have been the larger group, and he could have brought the second group on from the right ambush point. Edit: this is a demo game, you fudge things so that you can show the rules off, such as I expect the deck was stacked at some point to show events

The Germans had a unit of fanatics and a group of Wailing Women for support but neither made it to the table. 🤔
@donavis7244 жыл бұрын
@@BootsontheTable Rich might have been better off simultaneously ambushing with the Elites and Fanatics - could have had a very different outcome! However the Dice Gods can be very fickle! Rich could also have deployed the Wailing Woman as a Rallying Point to allow the Barbarian Mob to rally back 12" , out of the reach of the Romans. In this way the Barbarians can regroup and refervour (is there such a word?!)!
@toofatlardies4 жыл бұрын
The Romans are incredibly strong, but they are by no means unbeatable. To be honest, I made some errors that cost the Germans. I should have sent the main body in with two groups up front. That would have put more pressure on the Romans. I could have then hit them in the flank with the fanatics from Eckbert’s mob. However, the Romans won because they responded aggressively and destroyed the Germans before they could regroup and attack again.

@donavis7244 жыл бұрын
Roman auxiliary archers do have body armour but as they have no shields, this makes them Lightly Armoured - Roman Auxiliaries have the same body armour but also have shield hence the reason that they are Medium Armour!!
