That & the fact that Maynard never included the lyrics in the liner credits as well as the way he stresses the syllables always made it challenging to understand exactly WHAT words he was saying let alone some of the deeper meaning contained there in.

Of course I had dropped three liquid LSD drinched sweettarts and was peaking as this song came about. Fuck me. It was utterly beautiful and mesmerizing. And Maynard was half blue and half white with white boxers and using two mics right out front center. He was leading that crowd and had us all hanging on every lyric. It was magical.

One of only a handful of shows where a recording, even through the best headphones, do not come near the live performance. I truly cannot express how impressive they are live. Their sound quality, production, animations and light show, and absolutely amazing tight performances are experience you can't miss. The song is also based off a Bill Hick's sketch where he imagined L.A. being swept away into Arizona Bay (Also a CD of his sketches) Maynard and he were very good friends and Aenema came out a couple years after Hicks died. Fun note with the lyrics is Maynard writes them after the song is recorded so he can hit the beats perfectly with the syllables. Listen to Schism, Sober or Lateralus for perfect examples of this.

That shirt! Love the Band Death! Obviously Tool also! Edit: great review! I actually cried at Tool show! It was so Amazing, I couldn’t believe I was experiencing such greatness! I’m serious, it was overwhelming! Been to plenty of other shows! Nothing like Tool, Puscifer, A Perfect Circle! All Maynards’ genius!

Would love to see you guys get into Meshuggah. If you like groove and heavy you'll love them. Meshuggah - Dancers to a Discordant System is a good start though every track they have is killer.

That song is great but in my opinion there is no better intro to meshuggah than bleed.

@@medicineballers2396 yeah, you're probably right about that. Just for me, hearing other tracks first, it made it even more mindblowing when I finally got there. But yeah probably a better start nonetheless.

I don't know. Prison Sex is pretty angry. So is Swamp Song. There's also Hush, which is pretty aggressive.

This album is my favorite of Tool’s and this song my favorite of the album, since I first heard it at the age of 14 in ‘96. Brutal jam. I still need to get to Arizona before California is flushed away.

The song is a reference to a bill hicks (comedian) set called Arizona Bay, the theme is that LA is the blocked colon of the USA and they need to have an enema.

Bought the Aenima album day one. Popped it in my car cd player. Then Lateralus came out. That was the first time that Aenima wasn't playing in my car.

I feel that man... When they released Fear I was like, 'It's been 13 yrs?!? Nah, seriously? I'm still tripping over 10,000 Days... and Lateralus... and... all of 'em! Better take a break from all this TOOL and listen to some... MORE TOOL!!! The first 3 tracks of Lateralus had me stuck for at least 2 yrs, and then one day I looked at the tracklist and was like, 'Hey, there are more than 3 songs on here... what the? Wait, FREE TOOL?!? Hahaha! I WIN AGAIN!!! Best. Band. Ever. Great comment. Peace!
