Tool's best album, in my humble opinion. Raw and visceral. Cold and Ugly is brilliant in its ability to get me fired up.

My guess about the solo is that considering at the time it was played during the early grunge era and all, it was really common that guitarist just go off on stage improvising a solo which I think might be the case here. He just went down on a pentonic scale that he knew at the time like you just showed and it was pretty simple. For short I just think he improvised it on the spot.

Hi axeofcreation, could you do a video on preparing to join a (rock) band as a guitarist? What things should we be able to play, with regards to both the bare minimum requirements as well as optional things that are beneficial?

Finally!!! One of my all time favorites. Thank you!

Hey Axe have you thought about playing the whole song through after breaking down the individual sections of the song? This could be really helpful
@axeofcreation6 жыл бұрын
The first couple of Tool videos I did years ago contain playthroughs but they've all be flagged for copyright. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Lol. I think I enjoyed the commentary as much as the lesson. Hey, nothing wrong with a little pentatonic craziness once in awhile, right. Anyway, nice lesson as always. I like the pace you use to go through each song. You don’t over explain things. So, as always thanks, and keep up the great work.

on the breakdown riff, i believe it is D--5-- A--5-- D------ before the power chord on the 3rd fret, not D--7-- A--5-- D--0--
