Something about the color palette, the overall mood, the prismatic refracted lighting, the rippling water....it's all so visually evocative and dream-like. And the fact Adam combined all these fluid dynamic elements with stop motion is pretty incredible. But also...all the textures are so interesting. The calcified chalky coral of the little creature's body comes to mind. It's like Adam took imagery straight out of my own subconscious dream imagery to make this. So interesting....

Tool has saved my life. I'm only 23 and Nirvana was my favorite band forever. To the the point I have the tattoos. But I fell into a hardcore addiction and found tool on KZbin. 4 years ago. It's hard to say this but they took the spot Nirvana held in my heart. I was in bathroom one day about to intentionally overdose last year. But I made a playlist of Nirvana and tool. On one of my very long, sleepless months of cold turkeys i endured, i found an old Triple J's Hottest One Hundred compilation cassette tapes in my parent garage, and it had Stinkfist on it, and it took my breath away, it is the first time my soul had been spoken too, and it became a massive support in the nights, when the world was sleeping but not me, body racked with withdrawal and the nights i was out having the time of my life. The censorship is annoying but this song came out in 1996 and I imagine the video was released shortly after that. So yeah, this is the original format of the video from almost 20 years ago.
