That looks like a great thing to try out on some engines that already have a tac and compare.

Definitely! These tacs have been around forever. I was always curious when they came up in some of my older manuals or discussions so I finally got one. Only took a couple of decades LOL. Stay well, Joe Z

It makes no different, if the Engine is 1- Cylinder or 2- Cylinder or even 3- Cylinder. I have used on my Riding Lawnmower Engine . And my Snowblowe Engine . IT Worked Great. I turned up my RPM,s . On both The riding Lawnmower , and the Snowblower. They were set at 3,600, RPM,s. From the Factory. I found out, that at 3,800 RPM,s . Both worked better. The Snowblower blew the snow farther and in deep snow . The Engine did not bog down ,very much. On the Riding Lawnmower. It was the same. In tall Grass and going up a Hill. The Engine had more power. And Engine did not bog down and slow down. Now I would not go more than 200 RPM,s over Factory RPM,s Governor setting on the Engines.Make sure you keep all Engines full with the Engine Oil . That is their Blood life line that they need. Not that Half fullor three Quarter full. On the Oil Dip Stick. All the way full !!!

Hope you're not a B&S tech. If he knew the RPM, he likely would not need a spring tach. Ironic, the 'no brain's intro. 😂
