M18 FUEL ½” High Torque Impact Wrench w/ Friction Ring Kit includes the most power dense impact wrench in its class, provides greater access in tight spaces, and maximizes productivity through faster removal speeds. The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor delivers up to 1,100 ft-lbs of Fastening Torque and 1,500 ft-lbs of Nut-Busting Torque when paired with our M18 REDLITHIUM XC5.0 Battery, while the compact size at 7.6" in length gives users greater access in tight spaces. The M18 FUEL ½” High Torque Impact Wrench w/ Friction Ring maximizes productivity on the jobsite and in the shop by removing stubborn bolts and fasteners faster than cordless competitors. Our patented battery isolation system provides a secure battery connection and controls vibration transmitted to the pack. Tri-LEDs surround the anvil to deliver brighter light with fewer shadows. 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL offers greater precision with a range of pre-set RPM and IPM levels, selectable from a single button on the tool. By selecting Mode 4, AUTO SHUT-OFF control applies no more than 50 ft-lbs of torque for hand-tight fastening applications to prevent overtightening. Mode 4 also features Bolt Removal Control that delivers our users full torque output, then decreases RPMs once the bolt is loosened to prevent fastener drops. The ½” Friction Ring design allows for quick & tool-free socket changes. The M18 REDLITHIUM XC5.0 Resistant Batteries included provide increased protection against oils, greases, & solvents.
Most Power Dense - Best Combination of Power and Size.
POWERSTATE Brushless Motor delivers up to 1,100 ft-lbs of Fastening Torque & 1,500 ft-lbs of Nut-Busting Torque w/ M18 REDLITHIUM XC5.0 Battery
Up to 2" Shorter Length. 7.6" in length provides most access in tight spaces.
Fastest Removal Speeds. Maximize productivity on the jobsite and in the shop.
Patented battery isolation system ensures a secure battery connection and controls vibration transmitted to the pack
Tri-LEDs deliver high definition lighting to increase workspace visibility with less shadows
4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL provides greater control over output speed and power. Includes auto shut-off and bolt-removal mode
Bolt removal mode provides maximum nut-busting torque to break fastener free, then slows to 750 RPM for more control when removing fasteners
AUTO-SHUTOFF control prevents over tightening and increases productivity by applying no more than 50 ft-lbs of torque

I do a lot of 350,450,and 500 foot pound torquing at work weekly. Heavy Duty Commercial Truck Mechanic. I've used Snap-On and Oldest Milwaukee M-18 1/2 inch drive batt. operation impacts that have failed. Buying one of these to see how it lasts. Thanks for encouragement in confidence to get one.

This impact wrench loosened bolts torqued down to 2400 lbs. Setting 1 is approximately 650 ft-lbs, setting 2 is 900 ft-lbs, and setting 3 is 1200 ft-lbs with a Forge battery. It's a monster, especially for a 1/2" impact wrench. It outperforms some 3/4" impact wrenches.

I saw a lot of videos from auto mechanics, not even tool review channels, that noted the problem with that model that was breakdown prone. But i still took a chance on this new compact. I'm a plumber, not a mechanic and I'm using this with fairly large sockets for taking off cast iron cleanout caps that are rusted over from decades of not being used. Everything has come off. Before I'd be telling clients that the cleanout tee had to be changed. I'm using it with the McTwista and the PlugTwista socket set from Toolceptions. Expensive, but crucial!

FYI - using it with their largest battery, the 12. Don't have the new stack lithium Forge batteries yet The largest socket i use is 2-1/2 inches i think, for 4" raised head clean out caps (which are really plugs because they screw interior to the fitting not exterior tread.)

The prior 2767-20 was the best high torque for years, and was the tool that got many into the Milwaukēē line. Then they decided to modify the unit internally last year trying to save $$, and it was a failure, and what you seem to be basing the whole video around. Milwaukēē then pulled those with "serial # B" and went back to the OG design, and NO problems since then. I bought 10 of them last month and zero issues (price was too good). They came out with the new 2967-20 because other companies had caught up with their existing HT, as it is 6 years old. Might as well shave some length & weight like a Gen2 deserves, and increase its capability. I think you are making it sound a lot worse than it was, and perhaps researched it a bit more. Especially since Milwaukee resolved those issues quickly at the time.

I have the M18 Fuel 3/8" high torque from three years ago, bought specifically to shake loose some body bolts on my old wrangler. Probably paid for itself again while installing three overhead storage racks in the garage, although I did pre-drill for the lag bolts. The high impacts are all just beastly. Really show the value in having the right tool for a job.

Wow clearly you did zero research on the previous 2767-20 model. It was the king of impact wrenches for a long time. They made a change to the internals about a year and a half ago and it made the unit fail a lot. It was quickly reverted back to the tried and true version and life was good again.

I bought this a couple months ago because I figure there should never be a fastner I'll attempt to remove that this wont be able to get. So far its been the case. Evern with a 2.0 battery it made quick work of a rusted on crossmember on my trucks frame that I wasn't able to break loose with a breaker bar. I also really like the leds and how it auto slows down after it breaks the fastner loose to so it can be 1 handed without destroying your wrist.

I bought this one today because I’m going to put a 3” lift including the upper control arms, struts and shocks and rear blocks as well and I didn’t have an impact wrench. I’m a quality over quantity individual and this will last me a long long time. Just in case something happens a repair manual and a Milwaukee Impact wrench is all I need😂 obviously I have craftsman wrench and impact sockets etc.. but this should be plenty for me. Next up Milwaukee powered ratchet.

I own this impact wrench and it will laugh at 250 ft-lbs. It will say to you, "You clown, why are you wasting my time with these dirt-easy tests." I recently used it to change my front and rear shocks, and as I used it, I was afraid to use it to tighten all the bolts in the front drive assembly. This thing is just a monster. The rubber mount for the battery protects the battery and handles electronics from excessive vibration and extends their life. The new batteries essentially have circuit boards in them. So you don't want to continually vibrate the battery up against hard plastic. Only DeWalt's top 1/2" wrench, the DCF 961 has slightly more torque. But for all practical purposes, the two are equal as far as power. The Torque Channel tested them both and the DCF 961 beat the Milwaukee by approximately 20 ft-lbs, which is nothing. In overall ratings, the Milwaukee 2967 beat the DeWalt DCF961. The Torque Channel called this Milwaukee the new standard for 1/2" impacts.

I just purchased the M18 8” bar pruning saw. What does that have to do with this? Well I’m trying to figure out how else I could use the 18v system. Was wondering if this would be ok or overkill for lug nuts as I change both my wife’s and my own wheels between a summer and winter wheel set up. Plus for doing brake jobs and stuff since we have 4 cars.
@christopherwalker8965
@christopherwalker8965 3 ай бұрын
Probably a little over powered for that. Although I have the 2767 high torque and use it on lug nuts a lot. You just have to be careful because it WILL snap a lug off. Just use it on speed 1 for tightening and once it's snug check by hand. I'm not sure on this model but speed 1 on the 2767 is just about perfect for lug nuts. The good part about the high torque is it also works for much larger things. I've used it to rebuild hydraulic cylinders on John Deere backhoes and taking off very stubborn crank bolts on motors.

I am done with Home Depot, tried to return a tool with a gift receipt for in store credit and they wouldn't give it to me. What a joke. I had to have the person who brought it to go there and complain, she couldn't believe that it's there policy Why give a gift receipt?

You have no idea what you're talking about. You said the previous model was bad when it was actually killing the competition with snap on. You never owned it and want to say it was bad. It was the best impact ever. Never gave me any issues. I even used 3/4 and 1" adapter for bigger nut breaking

I don’t get the point of this video. 250 ft.lbs on the torque test? Then driving bolts into wood. That gun with a forge battery is a monster. It’s capable of a lot more than what’s shown in this video. The size and weight are still an issue but that can be said for all battery impacts. But if I can fit it in on what I’m working on I definitely use it.

Rapid chargers aren’t good.. the faster you charge any lithium battery the more strain you put on it.. as a career technician I expect to get a minimum of 5 years out of a battery using it every day.. definitely won’t get that with a rapid charger.. you should have multiple batteries that further limits the need for a rapid charger
