Titanium dioxide (TiO2), also known as E171, is very commonly used as a white colourant in food, but also in paints, coatings, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and even in toothpaste. E171 is a mix of TiO2 particles which can be defined as nanoparticles. Because of their extremely small size, nanoparticles can squeeze through natural protective barriers of the human body and pass into the liver, lungs or the whole digestive system
@Sffker Жыл бұрын
wow! good on you for being able to use google! As someone in the food industry, who regularly saw tubs of titanium dioxide, it was not white, but more of an off white/gray compound, used only for its anti-stick properties, similar to silicone. however our label obviously required titanium dioxide to be listed as an ingredient, even though it wasn’t used *all* the time or even very likely present at all in the food that was produced. Titanium dioxide has been labeled as gras by the FDA for more than 50 years, non-carcinogenic even in nano-particle form, but only in inhalation-related form, might it be carcinogenic, which even that is debatable. TiO2 has been classified in humans as biologically inert, so what do you say now, poor soul who, like OP, has been blinded by ignorant information?

@ednaking956 Homemade Toothpaste with Coconut Oil Combine baking soda. Add softened or MCT coconut oil to dry ingredients. Stir with fork to combine. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of arrowroot powder to this recipe after all other ingredients are mixed to help thicken the paste. Arrowroot may have anti-inflammatory properties that might be useful for inflammatory diseases of the mouth. It may also have antibacterial and antifungal properties.

I make my own toothpaste using baking soda, peroxide, apple cider vinegar/lemon juice, tea tree/mint oils, and if you can't get essential oils a few drops of mouthwash works fine. It is hands down the best. I've traveled to other countries and can find all of these ingredients no problem. It literally takes a minute or two to make.

Nanohydroxyapetite still hasn't been cleared in Europe due to concerns with Nano particle buildup. Stick to Original Formula Crest like the one he's shown it's still the one proven to remineralize your teeth. The other ingredients are too small in a pea size amount of toothpaste you will use topically in your mouth twice a day for less than 4 minutes to be of consequence compared to the benefits. If you want to give yourself some peace of mind just follow it up later with a non alcoholic herbal or natural anti plaque etc mouthwash. Like 10-20mins later after the Crest does it's work on the enamel of your teeth protecting it from Cavity.

Flouride has been shown to reduce cavities. The dangers occurs when, like with literally everything else in life, excess amounts are consumed. Stop trying to scare people with ignorance and get educated on studies, instead of regurgitating things YT vids told you. For reference, the WHO has set an upper limit of 1.5 mg/L in DRINKING WATER. As long as you're not swallowing toothpaste, the risk is minimal for the average person.

Titanium dioxide is very safe in toothpaste. While it may also be used in paint, that doesn't mean it's not safe. Water is also used in paint but we all still drink water. What you didn't mention is that while titanium dioxide is very white and is used as a coloring agent, in toothpaste it's used as an abrasive which helps remove plaque. Sls is definitely something to avoid in toothpaste. Of all the chemicals listed in this video Sls should be banned in toothpaste

No gingivitis, tooth decay or any sensitivity whatsoever. My breath may not be minty fresh for a whole 5 minutes after brushing but that’s easily remedied with a tictac.
