Shalimar Millésime Iris was also one of my favourites of 2023. ❤ What a smokey, leathery vanilla dream! Let’s see which scent of the Guerlinade the next Shalimar lE will be dedicated to. Recently I discovered my love for the Jersey EDP like you did with Beige. It took me a long time to do so. Others on my 2023 list are Le Lion, Liu and Yuki /Miya Shinma. Thanks for sharing, Dacob. 🫶

Dacob, I didn't see this video until today, but bought the Shalimar millesime Iris just two days ago!!! I completely agree with your thoughts! I have tested all the Shalimars at the Bon Marche boutique, and just couldn't put this one down! It's a masterpiece! Now I wish I bought 2. Can't wait to see what they come up with next year.

Only one of my top fragrances for 2023 was a new release, but the rest were all new to me and instant loves: -Loukhoum Eau Poudree (Keiko Mecheri) -Cacao Porcelana (Atelier Materi) -Shalimar Millésime Iris (Guerlain) -Parisian Musc (Matiere Premiere) -Tsarina Intensivo (Ormonde Jayne) -Tempo (Diptyque) -Victoria( Frassai) Judging by the fragrances you share with us and with the exception possibly of the Loukhoum Eau Poudree, I think you might like all of these Dacob, especially the Tsarina Intensivo and Victoria. Beautiful choices Dacob. I have always loved Bel Respiro from old samples from maybe 2014 but then I had a sample a couple of years ago and it had cloying dish washing liquid so I am glad to hear it’s been reformulated and cannot wait to try it now. The Guerlain perfume sounds so good. I hope to try that too xxx

I have just discovered your channel a few days ago and I am in love. Your videos are fantastic. Thanks to you I have just purchased a 200ml of n 22 edt from Chanel, and I was able to get a Cristalle edt pre-reformulation. Perfume is such an art, I would say that is very true that it is somehow linked to music. Ps : my mum was bathing in Joy (she had the cream also) in the 90's...

If I am not mistaken Dacob u did an episode with Lanier Smith. I came across a video of Lanier doing an unboxing of beige but video was uploaded 9yrs ago and i couldn't find out whether it was edt or edp. likely edt. Do a review of Beige in both formulations if u can spare the time

I didn’t know Bel Respiro EDP was tweaked, what year? I have most of the Exclusifs but discovered them only when the EDTs were discontinued. Bel Respiro EDP was love at first sniff, I only know it as a magnificent green w galbanum 💚

Love how you use perfume as therapy, aka Voyage d'Hermès to go through things this past year...I love Voyage as well but I am finally unhooked from Opium as I got sick of trying to source it on e.bay. I am patiently waiting for another floriental to conquer my soul and it's not happening...As you reviewed Opium in one of your recent videos, where would you nudge me to look for a strong floriental with tas much personality as that clove, the bergamot, the class, the enduring divine whiff left on a silk scarf 2 weeks afterwards....? Thanks.

Try out the origins of Opium… the perfume that inspired the creation of Opium… I recommend you try Youth Dew bath oil, and use it as a parfum… just a drop or two on the skin… its potent and it is what inspired the creation of Opium… good luck 💖

Thanks, I may order it now you've recommended it :-). I do have the oil by Opium and I like it better than my EDT, (modernbrown Opium). I am also trying oils from big Oriental perfume companies than I am discovering, the way any Middle Eastern woman would get ready to spray and layer her perfume. I've tried the Bakhur incens on the skin before that as well but I don´t know what I am doing yet.. LOL. Also, if I may invite you to wear something, I have had a budding love affair with Cuir Intense from Les Absolus de Guerlain (a sample from some decant company..). And it is beautiful, especially on the second day. (I grew up in a pony club and it does smell like all the saddles and bridles I used to polish for clients´ horses gear maintenance indeed.... Give it a go if you like the leather scent. Better than the Cuir one by Lutens for me... @@essence-tiallydacob9611

I love your description of Bel Respiro. Sounds so relaxing and pleasant. Sligthly off topic- but after experiencing "Opium" for a month now .Idk if anyone experiences this sort of thing with some fragances but this one gives me stomach pain. I can't figure out why ( I actually love the smell in itself).it brings a sensation of sinking and not in a good way. It's too close and I literally feel it traveling from nose to stomach. Very bizarre - I've never experienced such invasiveness from a fragance.

Vivienne passed away on my mother’s birthday. My mother is also gone from this world. It’s difficult not to think of those who are not longer with us, Around this time of year for me especially… I can’t help but get melancholy. But thankfully I can find comfort in perfume with Boudoir and my mother’s favorite, a cheapie now but an older sister and inspiration to Shalimar, Coty Emeraude (1921), especially the vintage formulation when it was still a queen in its own right. Thank you for the beautiful list Dacob. 🙏🏽💗
