Did you know that the Atlantis theme was originally in the first game? The composer for the first BK game had a folder of unused music. One of the themes was the exact same as the Atlantis theme from the second game. I don't know where the theme would play though.

The glitch was performed because when facing a block the game tells you to push you away in the oppiste side but moving swift turn around and you'll move through the wall

I don't understand why people hate Hydrocity. Personally, I think it's the best water level out of the classic Sonic games. The level is pretty fast paced and if you know what you're doing, you rarely touch the water. Not to mention having the Bubble Shield. So what's the problem here?

Yeah, in hindsight Hydrocity wasn't the best choice. Labyrinth Zone would've been a better choice But i just personally don't like Hydrocity at ALL

Ghaleonh41 I just never found it that fun, i don't know exactly why But i guess i also thought that putting the water level so close to the beginning of the game was really stupid

Perhaps, although they did that with Chemical Plant in Sonic 2 to a degree. And it doesn't help that the first half of Sonic 3 has quite a few water levels in some form or fashion.

Wind Waker's main world is practically a super massive water level and a very immersive one at that. There really wasn't a Water Temple in Wind Waker and that probably was the reason why. There is enough water to begin with.

You make a good point, Mario games have some of the BEST water levels, and Sonic Has some of the WORST!! But one of my Faves is the Water Temple in OoT. Sure I also hate it but it's a love hate kind of Level. :3

I dunno about putting a glitch level on the list. It's hard to get annoyed or pissed off about a level that wasn't purposely coded and no player is ever expected to play to finish the game.

9:40 I don't agree. There are some very annoying water levels out there that should have been on this list. I don't think that the fact that you need to perform a glitch makes it worse, I think that it makes it better because it's an optional level. With levels like "Down The Tubes" you need to beat it to progress and that's what's annoying about it, but The Minus World is optional.

The minus world shouldn't really count as a legitimate level, since you'd have to have the absolute weirdest of luck to get there on pure accident. At least you didn't mention the water temple in OoT as one of the worst (cause that's a little overdone, lol)

Also, as bad as Hydrocity Zone is, try playing the Blue Marine Zone in Sonic Blast. It makes Hydrocity Zone look good.

I am going to try to be civilized when I give my reply. HUMAN EMOTION INHIBITOR ACTIVATED. I highly disagree with you on Hydrocity Zone, maybe it's because I've been playing Sonic 3 all my life, but I digress. It's not that bad, I find even the underwater segments fun, mainly because they have never bothered me. Sure, it can be hard at times, but still, I find it fun. Why? The speed here is good, the platforming puzzles are creative for the time, and the water is not all that bad. Once you learn to... oh, I don't know, tap the jump button, it won't be so hard to grab air! If you were going to put a bad classic Sonic water level on this list, I would have went with Labyrinth Zone, and even that does not bother me that much. Expect the boss, screw the boss.

Hydrocity is not that hard unless you know how to survive. I finshed Sonic 3 twice,so I have expirience. You just need the bubble shield to breathe underwater,that's it!

I'd have to disagree with the worst water level, because the worst water level is all of Ecco the Dolphin. Sure, the atmosphere is good and the sound design is nice, but the controls and level design are both terrible
