Please lock your vehicle quietly No Honk so people can sleep at night and have peace during the day. How: Press Lock and Unlock on Fob at the same time for 2-4 seconds. This should turn honk off. Interest rates rising, inflation surging and a long recession. A great time to go into even more debt get an overpriced new electric car! Hey let’s get your loans officer to kick you out of your house and take your car keys too! 😊 Most of these EV’s become virtually useless in Canadian winters losing 1/3 of their range. Range anxiety skyrockets when your stuck in a snowstorm. Only an idiot would “buy” (loan) a $50,000-$75,000 car in 2022/2023. Once the bank makes that trigger call to deadbeat debters who missed a payment they’ll want their stuff back. The average car payment is now over $700/mth. Pure financial insanity. Best advice? Wait until the recession is over, interest rates decline and you start to see dealer rebates on EV’s. And watch GM. Especially the Equinox ✅

Buy hybrid or ICE. BEV's are far too expensive, unreliable, have a big TCO (even huge when you include the battery replacement and insurance), much shorter life, are too polluting (see other comments), very dangerous (battery hazard), not easy to use (especially on long trips or in extreme weather), are controllable by the Marxist governments etc.

Priorities are Range and Reliability. So far, the latter is still very questionable but the primary index of quality engineering and construction. Same. I was gifted a 2013 Camry 2 years ago for college. I love the sedan❤️ but I’m noticing a major shift in the car industry! I want to invest in an EV & have it for years on end, so durability & Reliability is a must have. Just like you said, range anxiety is real and questionable for an EV! Absolutely love the Ioniq 5, but I know it’s best to play the waiting game in years to come.
@wholeNwon

@@Monarq-q First, no passenger vehicle is ever an investment (certain antiques/classics excepted). They are rapidly-depreciating "assets". Your Camry is so new that, with only average care, it should be able to serve you well for many years to come. During that time, your financial assets will be able to compound more rapidly than otherwise unencumbered by the huge financial drain caused by a premature car purchase. With that said, I've been around a long time and would likely never have a Hyundai/Kia product on my short list.

I'm in a waiting mode. Our 3 rides are 1 Lexus, 2 Hondas, all 2020. If Hybrid cars keep rising as we approach the potential 2035 deadline, we make convert those extremely durable cars to Hybrids. Going rates are about $10,000USD, installed. With time and growing competition, those prices will drop. But full electric? Gotta have a minimum of 450mi range for our needs. And we're getting closer every day. Also, I expect breakthroughs in Hydrogen, or even other new technologies. I'm just sitting back and waiting. 🥱

Oddly, little time on the many features of the Teslas (which outsell all other EVs combined 2 to 1 in the US… for a reason) what of the Model Y? The best selling BEV in the world? And what of the Polestar? Why haven’t you mentioned one of the big factors re range… which is, how do we charge these machines? If range is important, it is because a) you do long trips or b) you can’t charge at home. In both cases, understanding how many TRULY high speed chargers you can find and how fast they are, should make all the difference. Being able to charge at 350 is nice but where? Tesla’s have a huge number of chargers available to them at anywhere from 120 to 250. Since last year, nearly all new Tesla chargers have been 250. These are the reasons, along with actually functioning Over The Air updates, built in security (Sentry mode), dog mode to protect pets left in car and many other features which constantly improve the car, which sway a persons decision.

Each conversion results in a loss of energy, so the overall system becomes more and more inefficient with each conversion. That is why cars that run on a load of battery cells are also very inefficient due to all those conversion steps (apart from the enormous environmental damage caused by the cobalt and lithium mines for the extraction of necessary elements and the disposal of those batteries that once again burden the environment) compared to the internal combustion engine where the calorific value of the fuel is converted directly into kinetic energy. In the overall picture, "green" cars are not green at all and it is a pity that we as consumers are not given fair information.

What regulations are coming to your EV buying. First 8 years of highway road due at purchase. Used or new out of state registrations will be charged for 5 years. New NG power plant infrastructure Fee collected yearly with registration. State total fees should be sufficient to build two new NG power plants every year. Fire rescue training fee on yearly registration. Battery recycling fee at purchase. Manufacturers will be required to except and recycle LI batteries used in there brand forever. Those that will not comply will not be allowed to sell EV’s in State for 5 years. Law enforcement will be required to report accidents involving electric cars with LI batteries. Wrecking companies will report to state vehicles recovered with LI batteries. On scene accident sights involving battery leaks will reported to state EPA authorities and considered a hazardous spill. Environmental battery production fee. New sales numbers shall be tied to real grid electric production capabilities. Each year the State sets the number of units that can be sold in that year. That number includes new or used cars out of State registrations. New infrastructure charging Stations shall use only power they produce locally on property sight and can not connect to local grid without approval of the State governor. Abandonment of an EV on private property with batteries on board is criminal act with penalties up to 1 year in jail and $10k fine. Abandonment is a car without a current registration for more than one year.

Electric Cars, while they are quieter and don’t directly emit gasses, are in reality only around 20 percent more environmentally friendly because they use electricity. What is the most common type of power generator? FOSSIL FUELS. Electric cars are nothing unless that electricity itself is clean. And the thing is, we could totally do it. The US government could easily stop spending money on election campaigns and extensive weapons and instead build renewable resource power plants. Wave Energy alone could produce up to 60 percent of the US’s energy output, and combine that with many other types that can be optimized for any environment, we could, and should, be at least 50 percent clean energy in the next 10 years. Unfortunately, greed of fossil fuel companies will do anything to stay alive. I saw a disgusting ad actually advertising using oil over green electricity.

Spouting propaganda then claim you don’t want to be part of the problem. That’s rich. EVs don’t pollute when charging/discharging. Over their life cycle they’re over 3x less polluting than gas vehicles. Depending on the vehicle, they can be cheaper than gas over the course of a 6-8 year lifespan due to reduced fuel costs and reduced maintenance costs. Definitely not 2-4x more expensive with that in consideration.

I bought my new Model 3 four months ago. The bottom panel has come loose. They can’t fix the wind-noise issue and the seat heater doesn’t work. I wonder what will go wrong next. No way I’m keeping it to end-of-warranty. Words for the wise...

Teslas are bought at twice the amount compared to all other evs combined. Any one who doesn't put Tesla at number one is getting paid by another car company. They are the safest car, largest range, by far the best technology, 10 times better charging experience. People aren't stupid.

People buying BEV's are very stupid. While Tesla is better than others, their junks are still very unreliable (something like #26 in Reliability Consumer Reports top), very poor quality etc.

The EV's are bought for the virtue-signalling or for the tax cuts. Beside being fast (great acceleration due to instant couple) and quiet, the EV's are an "eco"-Marxist scam, just like the Diesel for small/city cars was few decades ago, based on the huge lie that CO2 is a pollutant. EV's are far too expensive (even without factoring in the more and more expensive battery and special tires replacements), unreliable, impractical (like range anxiety, especially in the winter), very dangerous, time-consuming and CONTROLLable (the government can shut down the car YOU paid for because of BS reasons like exceeding your carbon or social credit or whatever they invent at the NWO request).

I 100% bought my Tesla Y for the tax credit, state rebate & charging at home. I live in CA where Gas prices are ridiculous, but I mostly bought it because its so fun to drive.

@@cmartinsgirl, I understand your reasons, a friend of mine bought a Tesla Y using the same logic. However, there are high expenses for you in the future (hugely expensive battery, tires, insurance, time to charge when travelling, some body work after small crashes etc.) plus the big threat of burning down your house! Not to mention that in probably 10 years you' ll sell the car for few thousand bucks (meaning a total depreciation/loss of few tens of thousands dollars)... Still, the main problems with electrics are that: 1. You encourage nonetheless the left's madness (huge in Commiefornia); 2. The consumed batteries will pollute again (not that much as when they were built, but still). And eventually you'll be facing the consequences. And you'll not like it at all...
