@RilesMacca Жыл бұрын
Probably not yet, still would be outside the top 10. He's had a fantastic season but would need to show more seasons like this year, as he's only entered his prime at the moment.

I think when assessing draft steals it's also important to consider that the science around the draft has changed completely since 2000. Back then, it was largely a crapshoot and while there was a greater chance that a top 10 pick would do well, it was far from guaranteed *cough*Luke Livingston*cough*. Now teams approach the draft like a science, there are all sorts of interviews and behavioural tests and clubs are virtually certain of a 22 player from at least the top ten (for example, from the 2015 draft onwards, every top ten pick is still on a list- remarkable). Clubs know what they are getting now.

Rory laid got picked up at pick 5 in the rookie draft in 2011, probably doesn't make the list yet but will by the end of his career. Adam saad was 25 in the 2015 rookie draft Jaryd lyons at pick 61 James scicily at 56 Luke parker at 40 Mathew boyd at Pick 23 in the 2002 rookie draft Jake lloyd at 16 in the 2013 Rookie Draft The big 2 draft steals that are in my opinion the best in history, both by collingwood in the 2013, Matt Scharenberg and nathan freeman at pick 6 and 10 respectively instead of a brownlow winner in cripps and the man who stole a premiership from us in 2018 in dom sheed. Freeman has played 2 afl games and Matt Scharenberg has played 41, an absolute steal
