@@ingolfura.4327 yes but in f1, if there are 3 overtakes during the duration of the race, it’s considered a fascinating race. Trust me, I’ve been getting into f1 these past two years. DRS trains, money>pure skill, minimal overtakes, FIA is an open rule book.

Thomas Sheckter managed to pass 14 cars in 1 lap without the announcers even being able to identify the car making the crazy passes as Thomas Sheckter. It's actually impressive how untalented sports broadcasters can be at their profession while still not getting fired for it.

I guess most of these drivers do have. They show a great fair play as well yet trying hard when needed.Ovals are so dangerous and a mutual correct behaviour is a must.I'm any longer a big fan but I still am cheering at these guys' performances.

I’d add an outside pass by Victor Miera on Dixon near the end of the 2008 race. He BARELY cleared Carpenter. It was nuts!

in 10-25 years time we will look back at how close fans got to stand to the cars and we will say that we were crazy (which is kinda true) but you can only do so much. even with 1955 le mans the fans were behind 3+ rows of hay bales. it itches at my brain every single 500. tony renna. with kyle kirkwoods rear right almost hitting the fans in the crowd, but instead hitting a car should of been the wakeup call. i tear up at the thought of a tony renna accident on raceday.

I was just thinking about that. He crashed out on the last lap, and everyone remembers that. But for him to be in 2nd he had to follow Franchitti on a pass on Dixon. The Target guys had been playing follow the leader with each other, and Sato had to glue the front wing to Franchitti's gearbox in a hella-impressive move to even get into 2nd... but then he crashed out so yeah.
