I’ve been in this biz a long time and I don’t usually comment, but I must commend you on your explanations, options/variations and most of all, humility. Although I know we hate to show our mistakes and bad form when learning a new skill, it does encourage and inspire others to show these. Very few creators consider the inhibitions of newbies or think about how to present exercises in a non-intimidating way, yet you’ve done both! Solid routine ,well done those hold up pull ups are great advice to build up strenght . BTW you are super strong 95 % of guys in gym want do this . People choose weight over calesthenics for simple reason ,many people found calesthenic training to hard ,it takes more discipline and will power than doing 5 squats and playing with phone for 5 minutes ,regular gym people

I 've recently discovered the one arm jackknife pull that has bridged the gap for me between jackknife pulls and full pull ups. I can do 1-2 full pull ups but I do those for reps. I wonder why almost nobody speaks about this exercise and what your opinion on it is. Great channel btw love it!

Hey! Thank you for your comment. I think it's not widely recommended because it's very easy to cheat the exercise - especially as a beginner. Personally, I would recommend negative pull-ups, pull-up holds and jackknife pulls to a beginner.
