C'mon, what you gonna do next? Hire someone to get the cereal bowls off the top shelf? That's just bad luck really. He was much more likely to injure his spine playing basketball or lifting weights. Just look at all those crippled post-career athletes. Sure some of them made a fortune but traded in their health

You forgot Amare Stoudemire with the Knicks back in the 2012 Nba playoffs vs. Miami. After a game 2 loss he was so upset that he punched a glass box holding a fire extinguisher cutting his hand causing him to miss game 3. At least he was back for game 4 which New York won.

@@jbthestoner5504 oh well that case that must have been the video clip I saw of him hitting that chair. It didn't look like he injured himself afterwards from what I remember. @GoatPopsicle
@GoatPopsicle 2 жыл бұрын
Maybe if he played defence on at least on 1990-91 injured Magic’s level. Even in his prime he was known as a Jokic-level defender. You can’t be in the GOAT conversation without playing both ends of the court. Plus, his *cheating of the draft laws* in collusion with the Celtics and Celtics alumni in the league office, is an automatic DQ. Especially when compared to GOATs of other eras like Mr.Russell and Kareem carried themselves. Also add in: Larry Bird’s blackballing of journalists who dared ask about his teammates and team fans chanting racist epithets & songs at opposing black players. The chants were so regular, the broadcasters intentionally gave the Celtics less National games, kept the games on a 10 second delay to cut audio, and had a backup commentary team inside a soundproof booth. If Bird played the same way today, he would have a worse reputation than KD, Kyrie, and Simmons put together.
