I prefer a suede brush, or suede-eraser type cleaner (if the scuff is also dirty). I prefer a isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol/water 1:1 spray, I’m a non-drinker and hate the smell of ethanol (beverage) alcohol. I always have this mixed up in a spray bottle because I clean my furniture with it, it works great for both.

Hi Kim. I love your videos. I am a relatively new subscriber. Have been binge watching for couple months. Please tell me how much vodka to put in the water spray bottle. I do a lot of thrifting and have been wondering how to get some smells out of non-washables. I have a steamer machine. Can I put vodka in that water also?? Thanks. Keep up the great videos.

It will just evaporate in the steamer I think! I use a little spray bottle from the dollar store and I put about 1/4 vodka and the rest water. You can try more if that doesn’t work. It won’t hurt the pieces. Xoxoxo

Sticking zippers is a problem I come across all the time. There are purpose-made zipper (and snap) lubricant sticks on Amazon. I love “Shurhold Snap-Stick snap and zipper lubricant”. It comes in a convenient lip-balm type applicator stick and works great. I always have a stick in my styling go-kit. That said, I look for clothing and footwear brands that use YKK brand zippers, they are the best.
