Looking forward to the top 100, hopefully it will highlight those fighters that moved weights and those who, didn't fit into one decade to score highly. Great series Rummy, keep up the excellent work.

The scoring system is not fair to boxing greats such as Sal Sanchez who basically cleared out the Featherweight division in 2 years before his untimely death. He was ready to move up before he died to fight Arguello. He made 9 defenses of the WBC Featherweight strap that included wins over 3 hall of Famers and was widely considered one of the best Featherweights and pound 4 pound boxers of all time. Same with Vicente Saldivar who made 7 defenses of his WBC & WBA Featherweight straps in the 60's and cleared the Featherweight division also Rummy.

Ability & potential doesn't come into it on this vid. Just saying. I hold Sanchez in high regard as well. He beat 3 of the top 4 on Rummy's 80s list, & would've beaten everybody else from the 80s era as well, including Pedroza. And he would have severely tested all the champs who came after him.. Sanchez had it all..
@kaio2212able6 жыл бұрын
kufujitsu you couldn't have said it better, Sanchez did have it all and you could see him get better and better with each fight.
@marknorris13814 жыл бұрын
Agree.. I know the creator of this has clip had a method to his clips but Sanchez on pure ring everything and the calibre of opponents he beat has to at least be 3 all time behind Pep and Saddler. Just my opinion.

Will you take into consideration p4p rankings?

Dude, I know you've got your formula and that is to be respected but Sanchez 12 in the 80's? Seriously? He should be near the top of any all time featherweight time list IMHO - we know how great he was, his untimely death did not diminish that in any way, we saw enough of him to know.

Is it just me or does it seem like higher decade point totals were all accumulated way in the past (40s, 50s, 60s)?

I own a gym and it was getting beyond mundane, but Rummy has made boxing fun for me all over again.

Rummy I think Marco Antonio barrera is the greatest bantam weight and feather Weight and then when he moved up to supper feather weight to beat the crap out of Eric elterablay morales to be Marco Antonio is the best ever in the feather weights I remember he was fighting Prince nasheem hammed and I'm Irish by the way so all my friends we all got together and put a wager between us but none of my friends new about barrera so they all picked Nás ah fast knock out the usual they were thinking but I was a major fan of barrera after his first fight with moralas epic so I knew barrera was going to beat up nah I made a thousand pounds that night picking barrera I knew he'd win and I knew my friends never heard of him so to me not because I won a thousand quid at the age of 15 I just think barrera was just forosious ager seen that first fight against Eric moralas I knew he'd dismantle Naseem hammed he was a true pure Mexican worrior and when marquez beat him the judges gave nearly every round to marquez I don't know what they were watching because I had that a draw despite barrera being deducted a point I still watch that fight and say a draw them judges sometimes you wonder or they slipped an envelope before the fights because know way did marquez win nearly every round that was a major robbery on a veteran like Marco Antonio barrera ledgend

Manny pacquioa is the best featherweight boxer to ever lace up the gloves hands down
@jasondierbeck43924 жыл бұрын
Salvador Sanchez was the best. KOs over Nelson, Gomez, and Lopez twice. Had he not died young, he probably would have been pound for pound GOAT. I would put Manny Pacquiao a close second though, as he was also spectacular
