Depp’s death in the first movie freaked me out badly simply because of the suggestiveness of the actual death…What was Freddy doing to him that would warrant that much blood…We only ever see the blood gushing out of the bed but not the kill itself, things like that freak me out, I guess it goes with the whole “What you don’t see is scarier” horror moto.

Well originally, his body was supposed to rise up out of hole before falling down. There's actually footage of it.

Phillip's death has always been my favorite. The perfect Krueger kill: Brutal,bloody and yet sooooo creative!

Jennifer's death in Nightmare 3 is such a surprise because she was awake up to that point, and yet somehow, Freddy (possibly having found a way of breaking into the real world again after his experience possessing Jessie in the second) manages to get to her. It's so unexpected and one of the best scares of that film. "Can I ask you a question?" "Certainly!" "WHO GIVES A FUCK WHAT YOU THINK?!"

I've always found Rod, Philip. Sheila, and Dan to be the scariest kills, because they translate into the real world as things that could actually happen. (Hanging suicide, sleepwalking fall, asthma attack, bike wreck. I'd count Taryn in there too, had they actually found her dead of a drug OD or bad reaction to meds or something like that.)

Nightmare 3, Phillip marionette kill, and the opening scene of childs play, are 100% the 2 moments in horror that my dad let me see only as a quick glimpse. i will always credit and remember seeing as a child that corrupted me in the best way that sent me on the path as i now sit a 41yr old/lifelong horror fanatic. I know we all had these major tentpole moments 😆

Australia , As long as ive been watching The stanMan i always thought he was in the U.K. Anyway for me the funniest freddy kill for me was in freddys dead when he turns spencer into a Super Mario Bros video game " Hey u forgot the Power Glove" fucken hilarious.

My #1 Freddy kill is actually going to be Joey's death in Dream Master. I remember it scarred me mentally for years that I was scared to sleep on my cousin's water bed. 😂 Also Taryn's death in Dream Warriors, it's just extra cruel of Freddy to use her addiction against her. "Even to a guy like me, that's cold!"

Before I begin the video, my top 2 are: Tina in Part 1 & Philip in 3...both so gruesome! The rotating room in Tina's death, & the tendon marionette in Philip's were both so innovative!

You can't see it, but you can hear it. I would put the Death of DJ Jazzy Jeff as an honorable mention. The Fresh Prince "Nightmare On My Street" rap was S tier.

The problem with Philips death is that it’s not logical for him to get outside the secure ward - it’s shown as him “magically” going through a locked door and doesn’t make sense.
