I did play more on the GB and GBC, but the one game I played a lot on GBA was Final Fantasy V and I loved it. Also, would love to see a video about Yu-Gi-Oh. Weedle yeah!

Great list, Jake. One way I try to talk about these things so people don't get outraged is distinguishing "favourite" from "best". Anyone getting mad at someone's list of favourites is really wasting their time and energy. These are my favourites: 10. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - I think it was this and not Golden Sun that ended up being the most lovable Nintendo RPG on the handheld (NTSC). 9. Metroid Fusion - Zero Mission is a better game, but the atmosphere and tension of this one makes it a really gripping experience. 8. The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - Really creative. Loved the visual aesthetic. 7. Advance Wars - Again, the better tactics games are probably the Fire Emblems, but love the tone of this story too much. 6. Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls - Mostly because it made these games playable for the first time for me, since my first console was a Super Nintendo. It was being able to fill in historical gaps already with two games on one cartridge. 5. Riviera: The Promised Land - Probably my favorite Atlus RPG of all time. One of the most overlooked games on any console. 4-1. Mega Man Zero series - My favorite character in the series getting his own series. Even if the gameplay in this wasn't as tight and addictive as it is, these still would have ended up being my favorites. Really special series.

Yeah exactly it's someone else's favourites never understand that kinda thing on lists. I guess people just wanna see their exact favourites parroted back to them ha. Great list I actually had Metroid Fusion and Advance Wars but I could never get into em, On paper i should love both of them though ha.

I had rechargeable batteries for my GBA because I used to go through so many. And oh man, playing in car journeys via street lights hits hard. I did get a shark light for it, but I did use my SP more because of the built in light and battery which wouldn't fall out of the back 🤣 I still have stairway to the destined duel - I loved it (and the anime, and the manga... I was a bit obsessed with it back then). Would love to see Forbidden Memories in a video because I found that game SO hard and gave up with it.

I wish I heard of more of these games. About the only one I even played are Mother 3 that's memorable, but some of these picks genuinely intrigue me. Fun list.

I can't even describe how happy I am to see onimusha tactics on here. Such a fun game often left in the shadow of other great tactics games on the console (ff tactics and tactics ogre).

It's such a fun little game I was gonna put FF tactics in but I never actually finished it. And I beat Onimusha Tactics a good 3 times over the years ha.

Mario and Luigi: Super Star Saga will always be my favorite. It was my first RPG, it blew me away. Then TTYD came out on gamecube the next year. Was a great time to be a mario rpg fan lol

Didn't expected to see Konami Krazy Racers getting some love and that main theme is a total banger. Also loved the YGO abridged series clips. And didn't even knew there was an Onimusha game for GBA a series that's more associated with Play Station and Xbox. Your list was really interesting. As my first real experience with handheld games was the DS, I only played on my older sibling's GBA occasionally. And I only remember playing a Disney Princess game on it, and oh lord I played the heck out of it. My sinfull truth: I started gaming with a Disney Princess GBA game and I regret nothing, it was so cool for me back then

Me and my brother never had an actual and proper console until he passed on a super hard exam to join university (mostly because our shitty father was one of those with the mentality 'games are addictive and evil' when he was ironically addicted to booze), so until then we relied on the GBA then moved to GBA roms after we found out about it. So GBA games really hold a special spot in my heart for sure. Pokémon Sapphire, Sacred Stones, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, Monster Rancher, Shining Souls II, Penny Racers/Shifting Gears and Kirby Dreamland (?) were games I had a lot of fun with. And also had fun watching my brother playing games like Advance Wars 1/2, Megaman Battle Network and some other games by smooth child brain couldn't handle properly.

my list would be Mario kart super circuit, metroid fusion, f-zero maximum velocity, pokemon fire red, zelda minish cap, the yu-gi-oh titles (i had 2 of the yu-gi-oh titles on 1 cartridge!), zelda link to the past + 4 swords. a bit of spyro and thats about it. while technically not a GBA game/s oracle of Ages and Seasons had a special "Ring" shop that could only be accessed if you inserted the game cartridge into a GBA! don't ask how a GBC game, knew you where playing on a GBA?
