"The Price is Right" should be #1. It's had two successful runs on television, the current show has been on for nearly 43-years. I don't believe that the show's had any bad period in it's history, it's more successful now that Drew Carey is the host. The show has now reached iconic status. Now I've said my peice. Now, anyone?

Jeopardy is the most boring game show ever. It is like watching golf. Lots of whispering and, if you can manage to stay awake until the end, you just don't care who won. This is actually the only game show that I can think of that has no excitement or humor at all, and even the audience doesn't get excited with their polite applause, the contestants never scream or jump up and down, the set has no bling, and the host acts all stuck up like he doesn't have the answers on a card like he knows everything. You actually need the commercials to wake you up in between. How can you make this number one. I wouldn't even give it an honorable mention.

But my favourite game show is The Chase, hosted by Bradley Walsh, it's been going since 2009 and is still going, daily on ITV 1 at 5PM.

I thought of my own top ten and the same ones all came to mind. Most of them from Nickalodeon. Finders Keepers, Figure it Out, Nick Arcade, Wild and Crazy Kids, and Get the Picture. My favorite kids game show is called Video Power. A show set up kinda like the movie "the wizard" where three kids play each other in a five minute or so race through a NES or SMS game, then answer trivia questions for the chance to run through this maze filled with games they can stick to this velcro suit. Then they win whatever they bring down this slide that sticks on them with a secret game that wins them a system of their choice. Other games I remember was I'm Telling! and Fun House. Then your run of the mill ""Kids" version of adult games like Win, Lose, or Draw. Nick arcade was a lot of fun too, but the video game zone always seemed like a huge pain to have to do. I don't know about this one, but Would you consider "What Would You Do?" a Game show?

@johnkoziol794310 жыл бұрын
Other game shows that merit consideration in my opinion are "Press Your Luck (Those "Whammies" were hysterical!), "Name that Tune," (Who didn't like to play along to this game at home?)"Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" (It had a great theme song song by the great a Capella vocal group, "Rockapella," and being someone who is ABSOLUTELY terrible at geography, was fascinated watching schoolchildren find these countries, regardless of how small or remote, on a map.) "Beat the Clock" (It was funny seeing the contestants try to accomplish these goofy yet challenging games within a certain amount of time.) "To Tell the Truth" (It was I the resting to see just how well the two phones could stump the panel.) "Joker's Wild" (The game show world's version of the slot machine creatively and originally done with the way it set up a contestant to answer trivia questions was loads of fun to watch.) "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader" (It was a who,e lot of fun watching elementary school children make fools of adults with their intelligence and Jeff Foxworthy was the perfect host for the show.) "Bumper Stumpers" (It was fun trying to figure out what the license plate revealed as a message.), "The Gong Show" (The original talent show before "America's, "Britain's, Australia's, etc., Got Talent," the contestants were colorful, the judges were great, Chuck Barris as host was simply nothing short of wonderful plus it had Gene, Gene the Dancing Machine and The Unknown Comic all wrapped up in a thirty minute package.) "Treasure Hunt" (I couldn't get enough of seeing what was in the "presents" the contestants picked. [Rest in peace, Geoff Edwards!]) These are a few more game shows that I came up with that I thought deserved a mention of some sort.

I...um... I kind of want to see the full episode with Gilbert Gottfried. That man's voice is angelic.

The funny thing about the Hollywood Squares one they showed, I actually saw that episode, that lady choose the wrong answer about four times in a row and after each; "You fool!" By the fourth time, about half of the celebs were screaming it.

I remember how Hollywood Squares always had Whoopi Golberg and the Bear in the Big Blue House.

Shame on WatchMojo for ignoring the fact that Takeshi's Castle was marketed as MXC (Most Extreme-Elimination Challenge) in the United States.

I'm really glad not all the shows on this list were American ones. Go Takeshi's Castle!
