I think that in my opinion, you can use the Blade of Olympus and upgrade them if you play GOW II the second, third or many more times, and it worked. Hell, I played GOW II and beat it on Mortal (That's Easy Mode for me) difficulty and upgraded the Blade of Olympus easily. I played it multiple times.

It seems they did their best not to make a repeat of this combo but it literally got me through the 1st 3 GOW games. The blades didn't feel the same in this game. I understand wanting to bring something new but R1, R1, R1, R2 was what I needed instead of trying to add more to the combo. By the time I did the "newer" version of this then enemies would break the combo.

Sejad Lulic I did that for a while, just using the blades. But after a bit, I realized that some enemies are WAY easier to kill with the axe so I started using it again even tho at that time I liked the blades more, but using the axe again made me fall in love with it again. In my Ng+ play through, I use both pretty equally.

Karl Tedi Stinson they do not unless fully upgraded. Spamming forward evade with the light attack takes off most enemies in 2-3 swings. Meanwhile it takes 2 combos to take enemies down with the blades. If you’re on GMGOW you realize the axe is better

My first GOW 2018 playthrough, when I got the blades I hardly used the axe. I was a big dumb, the axe is way better late-game for my playstyle. Not only that, getting permafrost to massively slow enemies and then stacking a bunch of damage from immolation is a runic build’s perfect world.

Hels touch was better than leviathan wake. I use to use wake a lot but with hels touch you can do good damage aoe and when they are stunned can pull off combos before they get unstunned.

I personally liked the Idea that Ascension had. I am one of those players who just uses the "Normal Blades" (unless there is a task that can only be done with other weapon). The decision of not having extra-weapons, but instead only having the normal blades but with different, unique powers was a very good idea for me.

Yeah at the end of 3 i noticed something surprising, as you know the blade of Olympus was used to end the great war, also when it can also be used to kill a god, in 3 it killed zues, but dident kill kratos, and I said this guy's a badass hes not dead after that and it was meant to kill a god. Honestly I'd love if they made a Deimos spinoff title/s where he uses some combination of the Spartan Arms and Gauntlet of Zeus as his main weapons. I like to think there was only one Gauntlet in Chains of Olympus because Deimos used the other. Figure he'd have shield in one hand and Gauntlet on the other producing his spear/generating some Lightning themed weapon upgrade for some variety to his playstyle. :p

I really liked the leviathan axe, the blades are iconic but I feel they lack damage (unless you change stance) and are better when used to hit various enemies, while the leviathan does more damage but for only one enemy at a time

No, Thor is more powerful that all Greek gods. He will send the world serpent to the past because he will it so hard that is going to affect the tree which is the entire universe. Seriously if you think about this single thing you realize how week Greek gods are. The biggest demonstration of power any Greek god has made, was Zeus using the Olympus blade to defeat the titans with one swing. Which is nothing compared to what Surtur is going to do with his blade in Ragnarok. And still Thor and Odín are going to kill him without taking damage just before Thor breaks the space-time to send a giant serpent to the past just but hitting it very hard. All of this in the same day lol Oh and: Do you remember that Kratos is the only Greek god who has been killed and resurrected just by fighting? Yeah, well Odín has done the same thing but the only difference is that he hasn’t been killed. He killed himself because when he came back he have obtained knowledge.

I really liked the Nemesis wip in god of war 3 simply because it has an electric power in them. (I love lightning power) As for the Leviathan and Blades of Cheos, I've always of the of the axe as a long rage weapon a decent speed, and the blades to be a short rage weapon with a higher speed. But I think the axe is kinda starting to take over in the God of War series, however that doesn't mean the blades are loosing their value either. It's just The leviathan axe is made exclusively for this new pantheon.

Interesting video dude. I understand the difficulty in picking between the blades and the axe for the 1/2 spot and for what it’s worth I think you made the right call. While the blades are next level, the creators new they had to change it up for 4 and make it at least as cool as the blades and I think they delivered with the leviathan axe. Well done

Cool list, In God of war 4 I enjoyed using the axe more, the blades are cool but the axe is the first weapon to rival the blades which I thought would never happen, and the axe fit more in the Norse setting for me, my list from least to best: 10.Zeus gauntlet 9.Artemis blade 8.typhons bane 7.hades blades 6.blade of Olympus 5.Neman cestus 4.bow of Apollo 3.elemental blades of chaos (ascension) 2.Leviathan Axe (almost tied to number one, the blades win because of their dominance in the series and history) 1.blades of chaos/Athena/exile The worst: spear of destiny, never use it, Barbarian hammer, nemesis whip, bit out of control and random for me, arms of Sparta, never really use it unless I have to
