Ken Miller That’s an option but not everyone can do that, for whatever reason, time wise money 💰 etc... Cyclist retraced the exact route of the Taiwan KOM Challenge from Hualien up to the highest point of Taiwan Highway - Mount Wuling. This world-class 100km ride is a true test of strength and character with elevations reaching 3,275m, and gradients of up to 25 per cent. To register, riders must submit a personal riding CV along with their application. Only 600 (300 for foreign/local respectively) riders will be selected for the 2018 event.

I got into cycling largely because of an anime called Yowamushi Pedal, so I'd love it if they added two that are talked about in the show, one fictional and one real. The fictional one is the rear entrance to the school, which is a 2km 12% grade. The real one is in Hakone Japan which is shared by the famous relay marathon Hakone Ekiden leg 5 on day 1 from Odawara to Lake Ashi. The full distance is 21km and about a 850m elevation gain.

If I had the zwift I would think both sides of Mount Hamilton would be a good one. It’s just by San Jose California and it’s been featured in a The Amgen Tour of California several times. The west side is 32 kilometers with 2 false summits a nearly flat zone and then a wall. 5 switchbacks right at the end. The east side is steeper but shorter. 27 kilometers but it maxes the gradient at 24.5% But this side was a surprising solo stage win by a 21 year old back on the tenth anniversary of the race. San Jose to San Jose. Stage 3?4? 2016. It started at a community center and all 160 rides stayed together through the massive sprint in Livermore but as soon as the first climb came 22 riders left and by the time mount Hamilton came up the break away had 4:35 over the peleton as the road kicked up one ride shot out of the group a put almost 2 minutes on the breakaway. He crashed on the quimby decent and only 4 k to go on metcalf rd he hit the wall and still won with 1:42
