+Baxter Bailey They changed their style from thrash metal to alternative metal. They used to be the best heavy metal band until after they released Black album. Lars became a worse drummer than he used to and they treated their 2nd bass player Jason Newstead like crap. Don't get me wrong Kill Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Muppets, And Justice For All, Black, Garage Inc, and Death Magnetic are great but they went down the drain.

Charging triple/quadruple prices in baking hot sun for water and beverages, lack of toilets that got overflown with crap on the first day, the list goes on there, so, people just as a mob generally got drunk and mad. Not most of the people there were a douchebags, but there were lots of douchebags for sure.

I really don't understand why one direction and taylor swift are on the list. Taylor swift: 1) "she writes songs about her exes." So what? Lots of other artists do. Why does she get hate for that? I smell some sexism going on here. 2) "she can't sing." Ummm.... Please go and watch her acoustic performances and then come back to argue with me. 3) "she is everywhere". She is popular because people live her. She deserves the fame she has earned over years. Those are the only reason probably why people hate T Swift One direction: 1) "they are gay" I'm tired and sick of that excuse. They are not gay; all of them have dated over years or are still dating girls. Only harry is bisexual. But so what? Give me a break we are in 2015. 2) "they don't write their own songs" Zayn wrote his own verse in what makes you beautiful, their very first song. Liam and louis have written a lot; basically most; in the past two albums. Niall, Zayn and Harry also co-write with the boys. 3) "they can't sing" listen to their live performances, their sound check, and zayn's high notes. Then come back to me. 4) "they are everywhere" again, they deserve the fame because they have worked hard for it. But if you hate one if these two artists because they produce mainly pop or love songs and it's not your stuff, then I don't blame you. It's ok to have your own opinion :)

I love both Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, and very VERY much disagree with those two being on there. Taylor has done/said some problematic things, but she's starting to change. To hate her for writing about her "way too many exes" (ignoring that half the guys she's been linked to were guys she never actually dated) is sexist as hell. You wouldn't say that about the men in the industry who write about their exes, would you? With Gaga, you have to understand that what she's doing is all for the art. You can argue that she goes too far, but the fact remains that it's performance art unlike anything else in the industry.

Nick Kapp Then you must not listen to much music. I can't speak for metal, but I can say that musicians (both male and female) have written about their relationships pretty much from day 1. Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, etc. They all got labeled "sensitive" for writing about love and their relationships with women. Taylor Swift does it and she's labeled a whore. There's a problem.

Ok 1D fans let me explain to you why they're #1 1. They don't write they're own songs. If you go on Wikipedia and just scroll through their singles they made no contribution to the song writing process... Talentless 2. They use heavy auto-tune. If they don't even write they're own songs they gotta sing pure and they still don't. 3. They don't even play the instruments. UNDERSTAND: your little 1D band is a cooperate industry. A bunch of executives got together, wrote some hits, and laid down the tracks and said "hey cute boys sing on this" then they auto-tune it, send them up to stage, make dolls of them, make a franchise, and make millions. They're talentless and they know it. And releasing a song called "Best Song Ever" is sad and childish. May I suggest: Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Wings, Bob Dylan, and more that I've left out Seriously. They're #1 for a reason whether you like it or not.

pokemasterelite Though you are right, I'm kind of talking about their general sound and lyrics. They have a boring, boy band sound that they don't break away from. Other people at least attempt to change it up. Hell, even bloody Taylor Swift at least tries to do different styles. 1D doesn't try to change their sound. When I say unoriginal, I really mean their lyrics and message. The majority of their songs are about how they have met such an amazing girl who makes them feel so happy. It gets old fast. Bands like Queen used so many different sounds, styles and messages. I miss that kind of music. You do have a point though, I won't deny that. Let me tell you why Taylor Swift and One Direction made the Top 2: Taylor Swift's voice is annoying and yes she has dated way too many guys. I don't hate her because I'm jealous, I hate her because she's a talentless, annoying person who somehow became mainstream, won Grammy's, and is a multi- millionaire. I don't hate One Direction nearly as much as I hate Justin Bieber (she somehow was only #3 on the last list). And yet still, One Direction is autotuned, they don't write their own lyrics, they don't do the instruments, and basically have no talent whatsoever. They are worthy of the #1 spot on this list. Okay, you can't say that Taylor is talentless because she's extremely talented. Her passion for music is incredible, at 11, she recorded her own demo CD of her singing karaoke songs going to different record labels and giving it to them asking to sign her, she wrote 'our song' which was a big hit for her 9th grade talent show and the song 'the outside' when she was 12. And she became mainstream because of her catchy music and the fact that's she's young and attractive (maybe not to you but to many she is) so I'll admit that. She also started writing songs on a 12 string guitar when she was 11 as well. And yes, her singing is not amazing like other artists, but she's a great performer and overall musician. But I do agree with you on one direction, I see them as attractive boys that sing whatever they're given, also, their x-factors auditions were awful and average at best.

I don't like them for St Anger and the whole Napster thing but apart from that my adoration for them far outweighs and dislike I have. I don't mind that the Metallica image has changed over the years. Would you rather they do a Slayer and remain a pathetic shadow of themselves, refusing to adapt their image to a more dignified one. While I personally preferred the first 5 albums, apart from St Anger there isn't a Metallica album that I don't enjoy. Load and Reload were excellent hard rock/blues albums, which is what they are, not metal albums. Death Magnetic was a very good album, my personal favorite since The Black Album. If they hadn't set the bar so high with their first 5 albums or if say a band like Nickleback came out with Load it would be considered their best ever work. Its all about perspective.
