i'd also reccomend a movie called "The girl with all the gifts" starring Gemma Arterton , Paddy Considine and Glenn Close. true its not a zombie movie as the baddies are not technically "dead". but if we consider "28 days later" to be part of the genre , then this should be allowed also ! lol
@bestmovies-wg1rq5 ай бұрын
Great recommendation! "The Girl with All the Gifts" is a truly intriguing film that brings a fresh perspective to the zombie genre, even if the "zombies" in the movie aren't technically dead. I love how it blends elements of horror with deeper questions about the nature of humanity and evolution. I agree - if "28 Days Later" is considered part of the zombie genre, then this one should be, too! Thanks for sharing your recommendation!

Something completely different is the ultra-low budget zombie film Colin. Part horror film, part kitchen-sink drama, it basically follows the titular character, an everyday man who just so happens to get infected by a zombie. The film just concentrates on this one character as we witness him gradually and slowly fight to hold on to and finally lose his humanity.
@bestmovies-wg1rq5 ай бұрын
Great suggestion! Colin is definitely a unique take on the zombie genre, blending horror with a more intimate, personal narrative. It’s impressive what they achieved with such a low budget, focusing entirely on the character’s experience rather than the usual outbreak chaos. It’s a fascinating look at the slow loss of humanity, showing a more introspective side of zombie films. Thanks for sharing!

In the movie "Rammbock" they're not Zombies, but infected by a intense version of the rabies virus. The virus isn't airborne and only can get you if you got bitten or scratched by an infected, just like a normal rabies virus. The infected in Rammbock don't try to eat their prey, but are just on a killing rampage - just like a rabies infected would. Technically, "Rammbock" isn't a zombie movie, but more like S. King's Cujo. Edit: for the non-german speaking audience, "Rammbock" is the german word for "battering ram", but also sometimes for the animal "ram" in some cases.

Dead set was a decent mini series. One of the zombies was in fact the original host of big brother: Davina McCall. Was surfing through Netflix a couple of years ago and saw a Korean series called kingdom. What I thought was going to be a historical epic was surprisingly a very good zombie series. Well worth a try.
@bestmovies-wg1rq4 ай бұрын
I agree, 'Dead Set' was a solid mini-series, and having Davina McCall as one of the zombies was a cool detail! As for 'Kingdom,' it's an amazing blend of historical drama and zombies. If anyone hasn't seen it yet, it's definitely worth giving it a try!

I agree, 'Doomsday' is a great British movie with an interesting take on the virus theme. The Reaper Virus does seem similar to what could happen if rabies mutated and people were overcrowded in small spaces. A fascinating, though terrifying, concept.

Isn’t The Cured the film version of in the flesh?
@bestmovies-wg1rq4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your question! "The Cured" and "In the Flesh" are two different projects, though they have some similarities. "The Cured" is a 2017 film that explores a world after a zombie epidemic and the attempt to reintegrate cured infected individuals. "In the Flesh" is a British TV series that also deals with the reintegration of cured infected people but in a TV series format. Both explore similar themes but in different forms and contexts.
