There is another reason For the low Shark k/d ratio. They don't actually hunt humans they mistake us for a seal which is why when dealing with a shark you don't want to Splash around because it makes you look like food.

And when they do it's either a desperate shark or a tiger shark( eats everything)
@Ryodraco4 ай бұрын
28:20 Thing is millions of people DO swim with sharks every year (often unknowingly), and yet very few are ever killed, or even bitten. Typically sharks ignore people, or investigate a bit and then leave. Also, even fewer shark attacks involved them actually trying to eat someone, typically it is a single bite and the shark leaves, presumably having realized that the human is not its normal prey (thing is, even a exploratory bite can still be deadly to a human).

One thing to note is that the post at 11:32 was indeed hate toward the stingray but the second one at 14:07 was him being sorry for the hate and stopping his "fight" with the water pancake.

I never blamed the stingray for Steve Irwin's death; I knew it was just a tragic, freak accident. I've actually interacted with stingrays a couple of times: once I got to pet one, and once I got to feed a couple; and I never felt like I was in danger.

My parents once had a spider problem on their deck. Dad just sprayed some peppermint; spiders can't stand the smell. I used to be afraid of spiders, now I've got three tiny ones living in the dark corners of my bathroom. As long as they don't bother me, I won't bother them. It's house centipedes I can't handle now.

Nah, there are bad zoos yes. But a lot of zoos aim to educate and conserve species.

I have a few orb weaver spiders that made their homes in my front porch and front yard big tree. They have decidely made their webs just higher then my head so I never walk into them. We have agreed to a mutual shared living space lol. They make giant webs that don't affect me, I can easily go in and out with no issues. May they remove all the pests in my front yard.

I used to have a pool in my backyard, that was right next to a large tree. And often times, when I swimming or cleaning the pool, squirrels would chuck acorns at me and anyone else that was in the water; we knew it was them, because the acorns were partially eaten. One time, I got so annoyed that I sprayed the hose up into the tree, and apparently I managed to hit one, because I heard a loud shriek; rest assured though, the squirrel didn't fall out of tree.

I wonder... How many of the people hunting stingrays and claiming to do it to avenge Steve Irwin, are actually trying to avenge him? And how many of them are just using him as an excuse to hunt stingrays for whatever reason?

PLEASE! You guys NEED to watch one of the two, or preferably both, videos called The Shark in "Jaws Did Nothing Wrong - An Ecological Video Essay" by TREY the Explainer and "Sharks aren't monsters" by AVNJ. Both are super important videos about sharks and how they need more conservation efforts. They explain why they are not dangerous and how, in reality, we are the bigger danger to them.

I live near the woods and I'm gonna be dealing with the Jorogumo spider soon...things made their way to my state and have been a MASSIVE issue for people every year now. Last year alone I had 8 webs around my house. Now I usually leave a few of them alone, the ones at the corner of the outside of the house where I'm not likely to run into them or similar. They got webs and the chops big enough to go after European hornets which are the 2 inches long and as thick as my thumb....I have panic attacks when those things make it in the house and will spray them with Raid until the area where it was smells like the stuff for months afterward and then barricade myself in a room with cloth stuffed under the door so they can't crawl in for revenge...I'll stay in that room for at minimum 30 minutes until I'm sure it's dead. Those big ass female Jorogumo spiders help keep those flying menaces out of my house so I leave a good 3 or 4 webs alone...it's only when they get around my door I start getting annoyed.
