I burned water once while making tea. Actually the hardest thing I tried making was croissants. In theory, it's very easy. In practice, not so much. The saving grace was that they at least tasted like croissants when I was done with them.

I’m 22 and I have made about 30 Mini Beef Wellingtons in one day at culinary class, the only flaw I made was that the beef was cooked between medium well & well done, but despite that it still tasted juicy and delicious.

@@discoloured3492 Generally speaking, for very fine dining with 20-30 tops a night, you'd want to make sure you have one perfect recipe wellington. Making several is good if you plan to be a prep cook or baker

I made a beef wellington for Christmas. Turned out great. Just take your time and follow the instructions and you will be just fine. The only difficulty is just how expensive the meat was.

There's a Peruvian dish called pachamanca which is prepared in a hole in the ground similar to a campfire. The meat is introduced and the sides of the hole are surrounded with rocks, if the rocks are not good enough they can explode due to the heat and hurt people

I remember my classmate in culinary school (culinary I) ambitiously made beef wellington for an exam. He had trouble figuring out if the meat is cooked plus he made a mistake of opening the oven three times to check. The pastry outside was brown but when he sliced it open there was a loud thud as he smashed his hand...he was disappointesd and pissed that his meat was entirely still raw. Our chef instructor was forgiving.

Basically most of the curses dishes on Hell's Kitchen: 1. Beef Wellingtons 2. Scallops 3. Salmons 4. Lamb (Where's the Lamb Sauce?!) 5. Jon-Dory fish (If I'm not wrong) 6. Chicken (sometimes) 7. Lobster (sometimes)
I watched a episode of How to Train Your Dragon: Race To The Edge. I guess the twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut’s meal is real. Just didn’t know that there is Sea Crusted Fish

Watching kids on cooking shows do some fantastic things amazes me. They have fun at it and I don't. I remember when I use to want to and everyone else around me acted as if it was a horrible chore. That feeling for cooking stuck.

Of all the lists of hardest dishes to make, I'm surprised haggis isn't on any of them. To properly cook it, is a lot of work. And ignore the rumors, properly cooked haggis is so delicious. I had it in Scotland, and almost fell off my chair it was so good. Sure it's illegal for some stupid reason in NA, but man, I encourage you to try it if you can.
