I think Maul will challenge both Wrecker and Bazine as the most expensive rare card in this set.

Maul is only a rare and competes directly with Vader in a lot of decks, Maul will be a valuable card but not quite as valuable as the 10 cards on this list imo. Bazine and Wrecker on the other hand are irreplaceable and are systematic inclusions in their respective color combination.

@@Thorrk_THT I think Maul will be expensive not in spite of, but because of being Vader replacement. All the people who couldn't afford Vader (or weren't lucky enough to pull him) will want Maul and I think Green Villain will still be seeing more play than Red Hero. Plus, Maul is by far, the best-known character from the three and Star Wars fans tend to like him very much as well, while only hardcore fans will know who Bazine is. And this might be even more of a factor than all of the above.

@@KrolowiePrzeznaczenia Fame of the character is important but not nearly as much as the playability of the card from my experience. Maul will replace Vador in some decks, but not in most of them, which will limit strongly how much the card will see play. I understand that budget is a thing, but from my experience majority of people with limited budget prefer to play a deck that is cheap at its best (like Sabine green) rather than play a sub optimal version of an expensive decks. Also keep in mind that Vador will go down in price a lot. Also if Maul is as expensive as you think he will be, doesn't that defeat the purpose of a budget option? Bazine however is going to be an auto include in what I predict will be the most competitive color combo in the set, that alone will make her more valuable than any other rare.

I am so dissapointed we didnt get a legendary maul or leader as he deserves. Perhaps on the next set or some set that has to do with clone wars/ prequels

​@@Thorrk_THTI partially agree with both. Maul will be seen more because of the price comparison compared to Vader, not everyone can buy 3 Vader. But Vader will still be superior in META

Wrecker is someone I thought that would be up there. He just seems very strong. The last card you show I know is going to be a very valuable card, that is the one I want the most in this set. Great video and appreciate the heads up you gave us!

What do you think about card the punishing one 3*3/4. Is not L, well yes you can play the second turn, but is a good drop with vader too if he kills an upgraded unit. Has more life so can contest more space fights. The tie ship if you are not playing kylo is almost impossible to discard from hand or deck. Instead the other has more chances to active his ability. Please comment what you think about that

Tough question: how many weeks should we wait to buy singles after release date? :) i'm thinking of just going the "buying singles" route for set 2

For set 1 the answer was about a week after release, but it was a special case because the game got a lot of hype a few weeks after release, this won't happen again for set 2. For set 2 the answers depend on your ability to predict what you think is gonna go up or down. Probably good to wait a week or 2 after release for people to receive and open and put on sale their product.

What about Cobb Vanth? I know needing an extra action to play the discarded card isn’t ideal but I don’t see many green decks not running him.

After a lot of testing, Cobb Vanth is not nearly as good as I thought he would be. The extra action to use him is a big inconvenience , the fact that opponent can defeat him when you claimed the initiative to negate his ability, his ability can miss, cannot be picked up by vador nor Home one... There are many small things that all together make the card a lot worst that I initially thought. It will see play but he is far from the auto include I thought he was going to be and to be in the TOP 10 most valuable card in the set as a rare you need to see a lot of play.

I think Snoke because of the rise of dark control, and kylo’s tie fighter for aggro, and also DJ

Snoke isn't that great in testing. Evazan may not see play due to the set-ups where if it is dealt with you can dump 4-5 resources and then 4-5 resources. Can be very punishing.

Poe WILL see the most play in heroism. Poe is one of the most overpowered units printed. Getting it out with Han, or ECL, or sneak attack will win games out of no where. Poe seems much more powerful than Wrecker.

@@rebelresource I play both in the same deck and I a almost always prefer to see wrecker, but maybe it's because we play very different decks.(discarding a bunch of cards is far from cheap) I only played Snoke in hard control and I found him very good. His power will depend on the meta though. Evazan is a very weird card, very hard to evaluate, I think his strenght will depend on the meta, but so far I find him quite good. more importantly Y/V is very short on good turn 1 play so I like him just for that reason. Obviously as time goes bye I would not be surprised to see him go.

@@Thorrk_THT I think if your opponent can takedown him (even in blue hero) that can be very tilting in their favor. But the ceiling on the card is high for sure

I went back and forth on Poe so many times. His resource cost is right at border where stat lines can snow ball to wins and this plus hero ramp pushes him over the edge. Normally the “just wait until I untap” cards aren’t good enough but I think ffg found a sweet spot.

@@imanujakku Basically Poe is solid is solid in almost any deck, but he really does get much better in a deck with ECL and timely intervention.

I do think Maul is going to be one of the most expensive Rares. He'll be an auto 3x in aggressive green villain strategy because of the ambush overwhelm combo where he beats out Vader. He'll be the affordable Vader alternative for more casual players who dont want to chase Legendaries. He's also then probably the most iconic character in the set for the generation that grew up with the prequels.

I thought Kylo Ren was gonna be first. He has a great body and buff villainy unit on attack.

Kylo Ren is ok when used with ECL, it's a playable card but very niche, and even in a deck where it's good it's far from an auto-include.

DJ won't be useful before Superlaser Blast, because his smuggle cost is double yellow

If you play double yellow you can play the card before Super Laser Blast, I expect double yellow to be quite popular in this set.

He means before opponent can play their SLB. On 7 or with initiative on 8.

@@Thorrk_THT and you can play him with Tech for 5 in any yellow deck (I even met a palpatine using tech for 5 on Karabast and it won him the game)
