Yup, I thought it was ridiculous that there was no bow. I literally play Far Cry games with a knife and a bow. Its the ultimate stealth projectile weapon. It requires accounting for projectile drop over distance. Its always satisfying putting an arrow into somebodies head that never even sees you.

If I remember, they did try that in earlier games and it did not work well in vats. The incompatibility with the vats is what caused it to be dropped from fallout 3 and later games.

My favorite automatic weapon, next to the op problem solver/splattercannon rifles, is an automatic assault rifle. Works as an LMG, virtually no recoil, and fairly cheap and common ammo for mid to late game. And it's got a fairly good damage output.

I like how the Minigun becomes useless until you reach higher levels unless you obtain a good legendary prefix with it. Once you get a Wounding or Explosive Minigun, slap in an Accelerated Barrel and use the right perks and you basically won the game. I once got an Explosive Minigun at Level 60 and I leveled up all the way to Level 90 without spending any additional perk points. The weapon is *that* good.

I just wanted to point out (for anyone who's curious) the furious version of the ripper is superior to the wounding effect. While the damage between wounding and furious is comparable at lower levels, at higher levels it's much different, and furious will be the stronger of the two.

Its weird how everyone plays differently. I NEVER use heavy or automatic weapons. Heavy weapons are too “heavy”, I dump perk points into pistols and rifles first, and by late game I’m just set in my ways. The Deliverer, fully upgraded 44 pistol, Overseer’s Guardian, and a fully upgraded Assault Rifle is pretty much all I need. I use shotguns a lot early game before Assault Rifles appear and I can upgrade them, but eventually ammo becomes scarce if you use them a lot. The Missile Launcher is way underpowered. At least unless you have all perks and upgrades. The Fat Man is so heavy, and you only get one shot at a time with very limited ammo. Sometimes I’ll use a fully upgraded Righteous Authority. Really the 10mm pistol when upgraded isn’t bad, but the Deliverer, despite no sight, has no recoil, and you can unload a lot of shots very quickly. Its also a killer sneak weapon and very accurate. Why no bows in FO4???? They are great stealth weapons in most games. They could have made different types of arrows that can be crafted. Also a huge opportunity missed not including uranium depleted ammunitions in FO4. Seems like it would fit the game well, adding radiation damage to any ammo type.

I'm having alot of fun with the nuka nuke launcher. The Fatman variant ammo is fairly easy to craft once you run through nuka world with plenty of Quantum throughout the park and I love that blue mushroom cloud- I've literally gone from a character who'd snipe off enemies from a distance before closing in and cleaning up in stealth to someone who just pops up in power armour, launches several blue nukes then smashing my way through any remaining resistance with my explosive combat shotgun.

I personally love the kneecapper's disciples' blade, especially if you can get it up to a cutlass blade and have the big leagues perk. It's kinda funny to run around stabbing crippled Deathclaws and Gunners alike or to just take their heads clean off in one blow.

No. If you want a Fat Man, do any quest with a boss at the end. There's usually one laying around somewhere.

it's no suprise that the fat man is number 1. And i will admit that the weapon is insanly fun to use. now there are some problems that i have with the fat man first off the ammo for it can be extremly heavy in survival. and also the fact that some enemies can be cinda what i would call explosive sponges this is aspecially the case with the nuka world raiders in fact you can fire one shot at them and they can survive that one explotion and they are able to heal themselives with stimpack faster than youre able to reload youre Fat man. which means it take more shots to kill them than neccecary and this can be really frustrating. but ofcourse it will depent on if you've build youre character around heavy weapons and demo expert. but otherwise the Fat man is so iconic the series and can't really play a fallout game without having to use it once or twice but thats like but thats like saving you can't really go to italy without eating some Pizza there if you know what i mean :D

Another fun (if very dangerous to the player as well as any enemies) is the MIRV version of the Fat Man, especially if it has the Two-Shot legendary effect, as a Two-Shot MIRV will fire a total of *TWELVE* Mini-Nukes at the target....in exchange for drastically reduced range. So, if you aim at something that's too close with a Two-Shot MIRV....you're probably going to kill yourself even in fully upgraded X-01 Power Armor.

The fact the deliver is in 10mm in game in its best form upsets me, it should be in .32 like the Chinese pistol and in .38 with a .22 option for an incredibly quiet silenced pistol. I added several mods to calibres to add ammo types and extended options because I am a real gun geek. The fact the Walther has a good trigger response on game is hilarious though the real ones suck.

I agree kneecapper auto pipe weapon is great.. buuut... wounding is better. It is nice keeping a Deathclaw from charging.. but it will take you all day to finish it off with .38 pipe weapon. Wounding will stack and a auto wounding pipe rifle or pistol will chew thru even the highest HP enemies

Ghouls are mainly one shot, just that mirelurks do sometimes take awhile along with the mirelukr king / queen. However it's very fun since the ammo is plentiful.

Nay, in fact, the Makarov is inspired by the Walther PPK. If you look at the gun, you can very clearly see that it is in fact a Walther PPK.
