I don't know why you assume that someone would be screaming in pain if there were fatally shot? When you're in shock your brain is completely shut down, you have no control. I've been in shock before and didn't make a sound until I saw blood start gushing and I just started hysterically screaming. MUCH like a siren actually now that I think about it!! When you're in shock, there is no pain, and you certainly wouldn't be able to monologue. 7:45 was the most accurate representation.

Just me or is there nothing wrong with padme's death? It was poorly writtnen but not bad acting. And Green goblins death in spider-man? cmon... That's actually a really good one. And director Sam raimi wanted the "oh" to balance the movie between humor and seriousness. It's actually a act of genuoisness if you think about it. There's a video breaking down that scene and tealking about why it's so good. No matter what the actors here did nothing wrong... If anything then blame poor writings and not the preformance. I think they both nailed it pretty good.

I agree. Goblin's death was akin to being an oversight. He thought he could kill Spider-man from behind (if not both of them) and overlooked Spider-man's spider sense and agility and skewered himself. That would give me an "oh" feeling, too. And the "Don't tell Harry" line fits in with one of the themes of the movie, that Harry is kept in the dark about certain things. The line is said by other characters, including Peter Parker himself. I don't see it as silly. I think it fits.

I just want to defend the Godfather scene...After she gets shot she is in shock, it went into her chest, so she acted it well, falling and passing out would have been the correct response for her character. I agree, while it's not politically correct on how a person would die if shot in the chest, it added the perfect imagery for the story. Like how everything else is meaningless watching his daughter slip away from existence, so easily in an instant. Poof just like that, I think the scene was profound drew me to tears even.

I watched a real video from Brazil of a man who got shot once in the chest with a revolver and he did exactly what the daughter character does in The Godfather III scene. Lacking the stopping power of a rifle, a pistol round (or even several) is not going to make a person drop like a ton of bricks when the bullet hits them. But it's large enough of a caliber that you die within a minute or two. In the video I mentioned, the man who got shot stood there in seemingly-stunned silence for a good 5-7 seconds, looking spaced out and in shock. Just stood there with the red spot slowly growing on his chest. Then he took a few steps to lean against a wall, but his legs then gave out and he went limp and crumpled. Again, the stopping power of a 22, 9mm, or 45 pistol is not going to drop people instantly the way people do when hit with rifle rounds, but the dramatic drop in blood pressure from getting shot right in the center of your chest - especially if the heart is damaged - coupled with rapid blood loss will make you grow extremely dizzy and you'll pass out within a minute or two. Aside from the pain of getting shot (which will be dulled by shock and adrenaline), it would be like fainting - but never waking up, of course. Sofia Coppola IS a notoriously bad actress, no offense to her, but her dazed, monotone, spaced-out voice and expression and how she stands there for a few seconds and then falls after getting shot once in the chest by a pistol is not unrealistic at all, really.
