Col. Jessup’s court testimony (“You can’t handle the truth!”) from _A Few Good Men,_ Vader’s revelation from _Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back,_ the boulder chase from _Raiders of the Lost Ark,_ the Avengers assemble from _The Avengers,_ Joker’s _Dark Knight_ bank heist “(I believe whatever doesn’t kill you simply makes you… stranger.”) and interrogation (“Where are they?!”), and the Black Prom from _Carrie,_ just to name a few.

My favorites are: • Indy and the Boulder: Harrison Ford is one of my favorite actors of all time and seeing Indiana Jones runaway from this giant boulder shows how action packed he is! • Jack Sparrow’s Boat: Another one my favorites Johnny Depp is an incredible actor with one well known character after another, but this scene where they introduce Captain Jack Sparrow makes him Legendary! • The T-Rex Breaks Out: Dinosaurs are the mightiest creatures ever to roam the earth, this scene where the rain pours down and Rex doing his iconic roar shows he’s The Tyrant Lizard King And • I am your Father: The Empire Strikes Back is considered the best Sci-Fi film to date back in the 80’s, at the end of the first confrontation between Luke and Vader gets me every time thanks to James Earl Jones The Legend Himself!

The Wizard of Oz is, and always will be, my favorite Golden Age film. My dad used to share when he was a kid in the 50's, his family couldn't afford a color television so whenever they saw The Wizard of Oz, the picture was still black and white when Dorathy opens the door to Oz. So it made watching it as a husband and dad made it all the more memorable

Spock's death in Star Trek 2, the Wrath of Khan is my #1. Gandalf's "You Shall Not Pass!" moment with the Balrog fight in the Mines of Moria is pretty iconic LOTR. 'Play it again, Sam', or perhaps singing the Marsailles against the Nazis in the same movie. Casino Royale card game. "You're a wizard, Harry" (someone's already said this, but I agree.), "Frankly, Scarlett, I don't give a damn" (same) Forrest Gump's "Life is like a box of chocolates" AND the keyboard dance scene in Big. Mary Poppins flying down to Cherry Lane. George Bailey screaming down the snowy avenue in sheer relief.

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in any dance scene but the one I can watch over and over is when she has the feather dress on, it looked like they were defying gravity and were dancing on the wind. Also, the scene in Soul Food when the matriarch of the family has died and they were having this huge argument, in the midst of it the grandson forgot he had left the towel on the stove and there was a huge fire in the kitchen the uncle, who never came out of his room, runs in from upstairs with a case that flies open and money starts to pour out. Yeah, I'd better stop because I'm a film geek and could go on and on. Side note: The guy who played the uncle was my band teacher in highschool. His name was Mr. Watson and my eyes almost came out of my head when I saw him on screen. He would tell us stories about doing sound work and playing on records with Quincy Jones, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin and other greats. We thought he was full of it until I saw that movie and started researching his career. Wow!

I don’t have an issue w your list, but maybe it should have been longer, bc just of the top of my head, I’m thinking It’s a Wonderful Life (much of the movie) but the ending in particular; Endgame, that last fight scene was so spectacular - perhaps it hasn’t been around long enough for ppl to “never forget it” but you can easily see 40-50 yrs from now, that scene holding up in the same way earlier battle scenes held up from WWII; in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, there are plenty of memorable scenes, but when Ferris joins one of the floats and starts singing, that’s one for me; in Some Like it Hot, when Jack Lemmon is trying to get rid of his romantic partner at the end, telling his woes like “I can never have babies” and finally giving up, snatching off his wig & stating “I’m a man” and the response is “nobody’s perfect” - that’s a classic! Really, you could throw darts at The Sting and find a scene worthy of your list (IMPO); when RR & PN first meet and Johnny tells Henry he already knows how to drink; when Lonnegan questions his boss’ card playing abilities & Johnny tells him he cheats; I could go on to the final scene where Lonnegan appears to witness a shootout - that’s Emmy worthy; Ordinary People, after Conrad realizes he’s mad at his mother, he gives her a hug and she practically shudders the entire thing off her body; I could continue but this is already ridiculously long. Not that everybody would agree w my choices; just that I believe there’s room for a 20 movie long list. JMO. 🥰🥰🥰

A number of scenes from Braveheart (Longshanks making his son’s lover “fly” out the window, WW’d rousing speech to his men…). Mystic River when Sean Penn questions if that’s his daughter in the trunk of the car (always gives me shudders).

Yeah - But it's probably the cutaway scene at the end with Judd Nelson punching his fist into the air as he walks across the sports field that most people remember from that movie.
