Great list! Worldeater and Masquerade were in the consideration list. Too many banging riffs on singularity!

I wanted an 8 string sound but my hands are too small so I bought a 7 string and tuned it to F standard, like an 8 without the high e. I am having major tuning issues

What is the scale length and what gauge strings? Mine is a 27 scale tuned to E with 80 gauge and it holds the tuning very well

@@coneplays3691 Thanks for responding. 26.5 scale Schecter 7 string with lungren m7 pickups. 11,15, 22, 34, 44, 58, 74 gauge strings, locking tuners. The tension feels ideal and I actually used a string gauge calculator to custom order. The guitar sounds good with surprising clarity for being so low (F standard). I slightly filed the nut mostly on the 3 heavier strings to accommodate the larger gauges as well as using graphite to lubricate. The strings all go sharp even after minimal playing but especially the heavier F and B strings. Makes me not even want to play it due to frustration. I also adjusted the truss rod with the standard slight downwards bow in the middle. Certain strings only buzz when I use heavy attack.

@ironman404cs hmmm, it should hold the tuning! sounds like you need to adjust the string height at the bridge. But it's all a balancing act between the string gauges, the truss tod and the action. You'll get it eventually, it could also be the intonation.

@TheAulGuitarist My 7 string multiscale, 25.5 - 27 will accommodate a 72 gauge for the low B, enabling me to do F#, but F is pushing it.
