FF16 isn't included because it is not a great game. It's a devil may cry clone in FF clothing (yes i know those devs worked on this game). The story is very boring and waaaay too long. The side ques.... oh, that's right there really aren't any, just fetch quests. It kinda shows me that besides the artists being extremely talented, the story writers just phoned this one in.

Does not feel like any of these games are just PS5, so not hearing a reason to get one if someone did not already have one. Best part about the PS5 is most of the PS4 games allow you to DL them. So you can buy "slightly cheaper" games and still have the hard copy. Tales of Arise, but not the DLC. Can tell you filmed this quite some time ago.

I've only got a PS5 back in Sept, so the collection for it is not the biggest yet. Looking forward to this video to get ideas and suggestions for games to pick up or at the very least to be on the look out for. Thank you for all the incredible content David. All the hard work you put into this (and all the videos you do) is truly appreciated. Now that you mentioned it in the beginning, Sailor Moon was a show I remember watching when I was a kid. I think it has the grounds to make a great RPG game or just game in general. Would be cool to see that franchise get a new life with this generation of consoles. So many incredible games, some of which I have and others I don't. Looking forward to diving into the ones I do have, and looking forward to hunting down the others (whether some or all). Star Ocean The Divine Force. This game got some hate lol. But I really like the game. Was going through my 2nd playthrough when Grandblue Fantasy Relink arrived. EVERYTHING's on hold now as I play that game and I'm faced with a hard choice in what to play when FFVII Rebirth arrives. But very good list and yes, SOtDF is a very fun game. Cheers

DAVID!!! I HAVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THIS GAME!!! You've probably heard of it, it's called Worldless, on Steam. It's a 2D Turn-based RPG! The art style is simple, yet incredible, and the combat is fun! There's a demo for it right now! It says "Controllers not supported," but that's bunk, I'm using my PS5 controller and it's fine.

This post is for those who complain about FF XVI just having Clive playable. Try Star Ocean: The Divine Force. This game has several multiple playable characters and is truly underrated. I love this series so much, and it saddens me that not a lot of people are playing it.

I finished Sea of Stars in January with the platinum included, so I pretty much did everything there is to do and it was a good experience, but what I would fault the game for is that it doesn't really do much of its own. It has lots of good things, but most of them are taken from other games and placed in this world and both Zale and Valere really pale in comparison to Garl who feels more like the main characters than the other two combined. One thing the game does REALLY well though is the music. Once Mountain trail started playing I knew I was in for a good time.

Utawarerumono is a tactics RPG / VN series that was originally released as an "adult" game. The story is honestly very Suikoden-like. I'm not sure how Monochrome Mobius connects to it because I haven't really read anything about it.

Thats an issue with most jrpgs imo. I just try to see if the story is interesting enough to continue and if it is I continue. Currently playing Granblue Fantasy relink and my goodness the dialogue sucks 🤣

Good list. It's funny sometimes I play a game and wonder if I got a different game than everyone else. Everyone seems to love Sea of Stars I found it.. fine. Kinda boring, story not good, writing sub par. I'm probably 4/5 through it and got bored. I know not every game is going to stick with everyone the same but I just never understood the hype for it. That's just me though, kind of like how I love DQ7 and it's one of my favorites but a lot of people don't like it because it's grindy af.

Am I the only one that thinks that Sea of Star is extremely overrated? It's not a bad game but it's not a masterpiece either. If I were to rank it, compared to every other JRPG I played in the last 17 years, I'd give it a solid 6.5/10.
