The 360 has 10 years worth of great titles to play from 2005-2016 versus Xbox one's 3 years worth with barely any backwards compatibility. Now that doesn't mean you SHOULDN'T get an X1, I'm just saying why its def worth it to invest in a 360. I'm used to connecting my slim and 3 of my friends classics/slims to one network, and with the e, it disconnects everything or can't connect simultaneously. I wish I could give you technical terms, but this is an actual thing. Something about priority connection.

+Jacob Darabaris Oh ya, forgot about the optical too. Didn't really care about the 3rd usb since an external wifi adapter doesn't need it anymore, or the touch button. That is insane about the wifi, I would think there would be some workaround with the setting on your router. Maybe its just an issue with your router or is that a common complaint with people? But ya, if my regular 360 (the pre-S model, but after the RROD heatsink redesign) dies, I'd just get an S model anyways since I use a component switch with 360&PS2/PS3&Wii connectors (plus Skyrim put out funky sound over digital, so I switched to component for analog sound which was better). It outputs 1080p over component anyway.

Defiantly do agree with that. The controller was comfortable to use and the games that was on the Xbox 360 were great to play, there was a lot of content to chew through without anything extra to buy with most early games. The single player games were great and the online multiplayer was fun to play as a side option. I think the achievements was a cool way to make it feel like you were progressing the game. I like that the Xbox 360 wasn't forced as an online gaming console, you still could access most things.

The only problem with the PS3 was that it came out a year later than the Xbox, the CELL architecture was too complicated for devs (I don't know how it was but that's what everyone seems to go on saying) and the first model was really fat. I have to disagree with you on GTA V for xbox 360 being "well optimized". I have multiple friends who have both the 360 version and the pc version (for comparison) and they swear that the 360 version often dips into the low 20's in terms of fps. As a previous console gamer and now a pc gamer with some medium range hardware, 30 fps isn't "god awful" but anything that isn't SUPER SOLIDLY locked to it at the very least is unplayable. Back when I only had a ps3, for example, I literally could not play skyrim or gta v, which is when I decided to get a PC. Edit: I agree on your other points, amazing video :D

Most PC's need have at least a GPU from around 2009 to run GTA V at the lowest settings at 720p. So the 360 and PS3 are basically revolutionary.

+Michael Galbraith The xbox 360 runs the game quite well for one main reason, they were able to optimise the hell out of it, the thing is, at lowest settings on PC the xbox 360 is slightly better in terms of texture quality and the visible models, that's not to say that the xbox is better in any way. It's just they cannot optimise the game for all PC hardware simply because the sheer diversity and amount of variation in the hardware and software alike. In other words they knew were they could squeeze an extra few details into the Xbox because they were familiar with the hardware and software.

Paultryplaysmc I agree with you. The console is very very good for GTAV. What I am going by, is by what I have experienced. MY copies of GTAV for PS3 and X360 run at 30fps. I don't know why, I must have a miracle xbox. and a miracle ps3. A GPU for a pc, from 2009, is basically recommended to play GTAV at the lowest settings at 720p. With that, a Q6600

Guys Xbox 360 is by far the best console ever made! It was my first console and I can't even express how many emotion this console gave to me, and all the memories that i have within the 360. Castlevania Lord's of Shadows, the best game ever made for the story, Gameplay and emotions! Left 4 dead 2, by far until today 2021 the best Zombie game ever! I still remember the Bomb glitch where you could fly, or the face of Coach, then Just Cause 2, Resident evil revelations, that i was so scared to play, but in the end i did it, it was even my first horror game ever! Then Resident evil 6, Star wars for Kinect, I know many of you hated it, but I had a lot of fun to use it with Dance Central with my family, so many memories, and so many games! I don't even know how many I have, left 4 dead 1 that was my first game ever, still love it, it was so fun to play with my brother and kill the witch and that damn Tank? That was EA with Valve in 2008, today EA is crab! It's not because it's nostalgic, it's because the best era ever made was the Xbox 360 era, for sure!

Xbox 360 is still kicking ass in 2019. Backwards compatibility, cheap prices, and the modding community are doing a great job of keeping it up. Over 13 years after release, I still see it lasting 5 more.

Currently, I've spent days attempting to optimize GTA IV on PC, and it simply can't maintain 60fps. The game is poorly optimized for PC even on a modern machine w/ dGPU. I'll play it on 360, where I can count on it playing the way it should. - Note: I bought GTA IV in 2008, day it came out, played it for 10 mins, and now want to play through it. My point is, GTA IV is still more reliable on 360 than a PC w/ significantly more powerful CPU, and GPU. The reason I prefer consoles is optimization. Geoforce Experience, Razer Boost, Hivemind, AMD catalyst still are not adequate enough for a gamer to simply download a game, set to optimize, and lock @ 30 or 60 FPS, and get that result. That is a software waiting to be made, or at least more effectively.

What was so great about the 360 were the memories that you made, so many more than on the xbox one. I miss going into game chat on MW2 at 2 am and having a blast with random people talking shit, and I miss going into gamestop excited to pick up that new game or get a few used ones, 360 is the best console ever.

Just got done playing a couple hours of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on PC, with a USB 360 controller! Yup, the 360 is still a very good media machine, but it is quite long in the tooth. I think it's worth looking into playing the PC versions of 360 games for 1080p, 60 FPS performance that the Xbox One can't even come close to replicating with backwards compatibility, especially when many games actually run worse than on 360. Exclusives, including console exclusives, are certainly still a reason to keep the 360 around though, but I would recommend playing the PC version of past titles one might've missed.

Picked my first XBox 360 a couple months ago. Its white, made in 2006 and the cooling fans are LOUD as hell.....but it runs great and the HD looks fine. Hard drives run 5 bucks. Its a great little machine. Total price was 30 dollars.
