I used to live in Flag. Then, on Jan. 3,2016 it snowed 31 inches overnight. We were OUT of there.

I currently live in San Diego and I’m 2 years from retiring, I’ll be 53 y.o. when I retire from the Fire Department. As you may know the cost of living in San Diego is crazy high and I’m considering Flagstaff as a place to live. I’m super into the outdoors, off roading on my Toyota and of course snowboarding. I know my kids would love all the outdoor activities flagstaff has to offer. I bought my house back in 2012 for 415k it’s now worth between 600k to 700k according to Redfin. Are there any good homes in a nice neighborhood I can get between 500k-600k in Flagstaff?

What is the cost of living like?
@LivetheFlagstaffLife4 жыл бұрын
Planning on doing a whole video on it. Most people say it's higher than they are used to. People from California don't seem to mind it. I came from Chapel Hill, NC and it was pretty comparable. The biggest difference for me was not having to drive as much - so reduced fuel costs and wear & tear on my car.

I'll be retired in 6 years. Are there cabins for sale for a modest retiree. Small, 1 or 2 bedrooms, not expensive, retired firefighter from ohio, not a ton of money but I want to live in the woods, suggestions?
@LivetheFlagstaffLife4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dean. Thanks for asking. Williams, Kachina Village and Mountainaire all have a nice woodsy feel and are less expensive than right in the city of Flagstaff. You might still consider the prices pretty high though. I currently have a 1980 Single-wide out in Parks for sale that is listed at $132,000. It’s a water delivery location but there’s good infrastructure here for that.

Hi, my husband and I are apartment managers. Are there any jobs available there?
@LivetheFlagstaffLife4 жыл бұрын
Indeed.com is a good source for jobs in Flagstaff. I know the property managers tend to have a high turnover so you're likely to find them periodically. Village Land Shoppe (my agency) sometimes hires a part-time assistant to the property manager.
