Joshua's room sounds like an abused child situation, and it's really sad to me. The room they were making newspapers in though is really cool, not scary at all once you know the context. The one with the workbench and gargoyle sounds cool too. The squatter ones though, those are really freaky to me. I was once driving around the backwoods on the outskirts of my city where there was nothing but fields. I eventually saw something in one of the fields and I drove on the road close to it then walked to it and it was a pair of doors on the ground leading to a basement. I opened it and went down the stairs and it was a very small room like barely big enough for three people to stand in and to the right was just a normal table with tools on it but on the walls there was a creepy smiley face with what was a bullet hole with blood dripping down. On the other walls there were messages talking about hearing things (I don’t fully remember it was a few years ago)

I don't think the black mold one was scary, but instead props to the previous owner for alerting the new owners about the black mold problem and kept their children safe. Maybe the "secret room" wasn't so secret at all and the previous owner was confident that the new owners would eventually found it and thought maybe it would be fun if he left a secret note in the secret room.
