Some that immediately come to mind-- "Dream On" "Muscle" "Grounded For Life" "The Adventures Of Pete & Pete" "Absolutely Fabulous" "Strip Mall" "The John Larroquette Show" "Herman's Head" "The Associates" "Best Of The West" "Just The Ten Of Us" "The George Carlin Show" "Daria" "Head Of The Class" "My Two Dads" "Square Pegs" "Are You Being Served?" "The Job" "Oh, Madeline!" "My World & Welcome To It" "The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis" &, of course, "Soap" & the original "Night Court" are forever terrific. I never forgot any of these shows, but many people forgot about (or possibly never even heard of) some of them.

This video didn't even use the funnier scenes. For Night Court, I would've included the scene where 3 old ladies revealed they were phone sex ladies. Then we find out Dan talked to them a lot. He tried to deny it. Then one of them says something about how he revealed some of his deepest, darkest fantasies. Then she says "So......... You must be Christine!" as she turns to Christine. 🤣

@@BillGraper I wholeheartedly agree with you. That's what made that show so damned funny was their antics, especially Dan Fielding's. I always loved the Dan Fielding/Vincent Daniels rivalry. Too bad they couldn't do more scenes together. But my favorite of those was the one where he was assigned to watch his bosses niece. She teased him to no end, including one where she wrote on one of his briefs " did you know that I'm not wearing a bra", which Dan read aloud to the court.

I always thought Grounded for Life was pretty entertaining. A great cast, an often different way of structuring episodes (starting in the middle of a plot point and working back to the beginning), and I always loved when they did flashbacks of the characters in high school (which meant the same adult actors just with different hairstyles and wigs).

Cybill was great. Loved Dharma and Greg on reruns in the early 2000s. I don’t usually like family comedies but Reba was really good. Mom is also funny though probably not old enough to be “forgotten”. It is more of a comedy-drama, but Northern Exposure was brilliant but is apparently held up in some kind of music licensing hell for streaming.

Wow, I wouldn't think a sitcom list like this would include a show I never heard of, #8! Though I instantly recognized Sandy Duncan, :) #7 is why Agent Coulson in the MCU always bumps me, I know him as the bumbling guy in Old Christine! I've been catching 'Til Death on reruns a lot lately, IIRC they had 2 seasons under the original premise, then they faded out the young neighbours (MISTAKE!) and faded in other characters to struggle through 2 final seasons, ending up making the daughter and her boyfriend/husband the replacement young couple. Didn't care much for him, and it was a rotating roster for the daughter/wife. Only plus side was giving the guy a Sitcom disorder where he knew he was in a sitcom, but everyone else treated it as hallucinations. Including having him see psychiatrist Dr. Mayim Bialik (played by Mayim Bialik, LOL!). For the first two seasons, oh, it was fun seeing American Pie's Finch regularly, and his wife was UBER-CUTE! I could never get over how purely attractive she was! I enjoyed Still Standing, it bugs me that the schedule currently regularly LISTS a Still Standing, but THIS one seems to be some "real" show, people exploring the countryside or some such, reviewing tourist things or something? (Never caught an episode, so I'm fuzzy, just that it's real life). I was FLOORED when I learned the star of Still Standing, Mark Addy, is British, only found out when he was in A Knight's Tale and something else, made me look him up why it seemed like Still Standing was his only American accent. :)

WKRP, Soap, NEWSRADIO, Taxi, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Spin City (tho I preferred Family Ties) - tbh, I never ever forgot that they were brilliant tv shows. I own all but Taxi, and can still do some of those eps by heart. I don’t recall precisely how many times Jim asks “what does a yellow light mean” followed by “slow down” and then each subsequent time asks slower and slower while the audience laughs it’s ass off, but I LOVED that episode; or the one where he’s at Harvard ( I believe) a totally straight, square student & for reasons I don’t even recall, he’s given a bite of a pot brownie (again, I believe) and Christopher Lloyds face changes into the Jim we all know for like a split second before he says something like he has to be careful round such things bc he may (or does) have an addictive personality. I can’t talk about Newsradio bc I get seriously deeply depressed when I think about it, but Phil Hartman was so so SO amazing!! (I mean the rest of the cast of that show was as well. Esp’ly Dave from Kids in the Hall, but the ensemble cast was amazing. And that might be what was so fantastic about the sitcoms named on this list. The casts were filled out with every single player being perfection. Like when the mother on WKRP sends someone to try and make changes in the station and they all play the opposite of who/what they’re really like. Bailey pretends she’s on drugs and sings a Hershey song (IIRC) - it was hilarious! Actually, many of the shows were. And I probably would have placed SOAP at the top of the list, altho it never really ended. It followed so many known Soap Opera tropes, but pushed them so past the limit of credibility that just saying what was happening on the show was hysterical without anybody saying a word. And Jody (Billy Crystal) while backing off of some of (what would have been) the more out there gay moments at the time, must have been the very first gay character on a show who was a regular; who, wasn’t there just for laughs; who played a strange but engaging young gay man of that time; and probably opened the gates to the LGBTQ+ community in a way that I never hear talked about these days (but I honestly feel I should) bc without his character, I’d like to know where the community believes they would be at this moment in time. The show was so amusing I’d miss dialogue bc we didn’t have taping at that point in time. They killed off a main character in the first season, but he wasn’t just “killed.” He was “stabbed, shot, strangled, suffocated and bludgeoned.” And they made that funny. Swear to God. Maybe it would help to know the Chief of Police on Soap was played by the owner of WKRP. And he wasn’t any brighter on the earlier show. IMPO, I probably wouldn’t place Night Court & Designing Women with the rest of the shows mentioned. (JMO.) I definitely thought both were really good. I didn’t think they were “great”. Of course, any show where John Laroquette appears each week will come close - just an amazing actor!! But still. I think I preferred seeing him (JL) on The Practice where he had to be defended for possibly killing his lovers. Have always loved him! And Designing Women. I liked it. I liked some of the messages it sent out. Like when Charlotte had a lump in her breast and her dr told her “not to worry” and Julia went to tell Charlottes dr what she thought of his medical skills. Or when Suzanne had gained some weight and showed up for some beauty pageant something or other and some bitchy women were saying quite nasty things about her, and Julia told the worst one about “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia”. But I simply didn’t think it held up to that level the entire time it was on tv, and this is simply a personal opinion. I’m certain a majority of ppl feel that it did. This is definitely a fantastic list of shows, however!!

A lot of my favourites made it on this list, but I think a part 2 is needed. Good Times and The Jeffersons were also great sitcoms! As well as Family Ties!

For me the biggest one is The Mindy Project. No one talks about it, but it’s absolutely hilarious and one of my top 5 favorites. I would recommend season 2 on because it’s a little slow to start like most series. I think msmojo and their fans would love it. King of queens had some fantastic episodes especially in their later seasons (first two seasons were dull for me except frozen pop). Other more somewhat obscure favorites: Detroiters, Speechless, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Fresh off the Boat, Grounded for Life, Reba

If there on family sitcom Feel really underrated today is “Step By Step” Patrick Duffy, and Suzanne Somers. One side he got the Lambert kids and the other side you got the foster kids it’s really funny joke.

MsMojo, during “Soap’s” original run on TV, I was in elementary school and didn’t see it; however, I’ve watched it on late night re-runs and it’s hysterical!

Full House and Family Matters were key shows for me when I was growing up. I would really like to see a top 10 of movies that were before there time. Bombed at the box office but then became cult classics. Like The 5th Element

Can't argue with your selections, maybe tweak the placement a bit; however, WKRP in Cincinnati is indeed one of the coolest and funniest sitcoms ever... the Thanksgiving episode alone is classic... KDM
