May I point out another detail I noticed as I watched it with my family? When the doors open and Jasmine enters the throne room to meet Prince Anders, she actually reaches to where her bracelet normally is (though Aladdin has it at the time). I imagine it's because it gives her comfort because it was her mother's. Well, maybe I was the only one who didn't notice this the first two times I saw this...

One very small, "blink-and-you-miss-it" detail: While Will Smith sings "Arabian Nights", he points towards Agrabah. He points with two fingers instead of just one, similar to how Walt Disney always seemed to be pointing. In actuality, it was because he always had a cigarette in his hand, and artists would airbrush the cigarette out in photos sent to children.

I actually noticed the "Rambo" imitation at the end, but I thought he was imitating Rama (A very blue avatar of Vishnu who went on a quest riddled with trials and tribulations to save his woman ). With the Bollywood and Indian influence all over, I just assumed that was an Easter egg for the Hindu demographic.

Kathy Lim Fool. Look at the ratings for Aladdin remake on Rotten Tomatoes. It had a weak and rotten score of 57%. The others with fresh ratings fared much better, critically. Cinderella had 85%, Beauty and the Beast had 71%, The Jungle Book had 95%, and Christopher Robin had 73%.

Okay, the Prince of Bel-Air reference really seems like a stretch... I think a fantastic detail that everyone misses is that the film's soundtrack has Arabic rhythmology, which was a great detail of investigation from the composer. Also, choreographies include elements of Belly Dancing and even a bit of Bollywood

I never saw it mentioned anywhere... I noticed that In this movie's version of "Friend like me" song, you can hear Robin Williams voice at the end, at the final sentence. (WILL S.) You never (ever) had a (had a) friend like... (ROBIN W) Meeeeeeeeeeeeee. It's just a word that was taken from the original song, but I think that was a sweet tribute to him (I can be wrong tho, maybe Will Smith's voice was in a similar note and tone in this specific part... dunno.)

yes, but keep in mind that the Robin William's dialogue was based on his comic routines. I remember seeing a video where the artists drew illustrations of characters based on Robin William's act and that convinced him to take the role of the genie, cause he loved that.

Actually the whole genie outfit at the end of the animated movie where genie is wearing the Goofy hat and vacation outfit is an Easter egg on its own. Before Aladdin was made, in 1989 Robin Williams did a short for Disney called “Back to Neverland” that showcased the hand drawn animation process and was hosted by Walter Cronkite. Robin was wearing a similar outfit in the beginning of the short so they added it to the Genie for Aladdin.

The new schweinstein castle , aka, cinderella's castle, in Bavaria was built by King Ludwig III. You can tour the castle and see 19 rooms. If you don't want to take the 10 mile hike up the hill to the castle, you can pay for a horse and buggy ride.
