Top 10 Starter Anime for Beginners

Anime can be weird, like really weird. The fact that it’s… well… animated, and has a reputation for having not so normal fans can push people away. A weird face placed on an ill timed joke usually just kind of comes off as strange to most. It’s not easy for somebody who’s grown up entirely on western media to get into it for the first time nor can it be easy to recommend it to people. It can be a challenge if you're a person who wants to get into anime or atleast give it a try for the first time but you don’t really know what to start with or where to even look. Same goes for those who are into anime and want to share that experience with someone else but again you don’t really know where to start or where to look. Lucky for you, that’s exactly what this video is for. A curated list of the 10 best anime to start with, the best way to watch them, and the best part is that with the exception of 1, they are all on Netflix at the time of writing. Of course they're also on other streaming services such as Hulu, HBO, and Crunchyroll but you know everyone has netflix. (but if you don’t just click the super secret google doc link below). Nice list! I would include a Gundam series since I started watching anime with Gundam Wing, I think the Gundam animes are great to start on due to war being common topic in western media making it easy to understand.

I would if I’ve seen a Gundam series. The problem is I know that if I do, I will end liking them and start collecting Gundam figures as a hobby. I do not have the money right now to sustain that hobby lol. Same reason I don’t get into Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokémon.

I was heavily considering it but One Punch Man doesn’t have a very easily accessible English dub which I think is very important for newcomers.

Great list. Though I kinda dissagree with attack on titan. It's a bit too information packed and complicated for a first anime but overall a great list. Also I didn't know you were an avatar fan like me thats pretty cool to know.

I feel like Attack On Titan great because of how little information you get at the start and where you end off. It ties all of it’s mysteries together greatly though I do see where your coming from. I think that the transition from season 3 to 4 can be extremely jarring and hard to comprehend for most.

@@LoungeAct_ Yeah what your saying makes sense. Now that I think about it the earlier episode aren't as complicated as the later episodes. The only reason I think it's too complicated is because It was my first anime and I didn't get it at all I loved it to bits but I didn't really understand it.

Include fmab and saikik or some other good comedy anime like one punch man even thou one punch man is also a shounen. Also one piece has slow pacing and it coul bore out a new anime fan and maybe not include cyberpunk since there is already a lot of shounen and its the weakest one of the bunch. The list could use some variaty in genres.
