Rakza z is amazing. I agree with you. I sold many to many players and most of them loved its capacity to lift slides with a top, its control and power. Very high throw angle. I tasted many more in backhand but this one was the best to my game

Strangely no-one mentions Gold Arc 8. I used to play with Rakza 7, 10, Z and Fastarc G-1. Switched to GA8, great rubber.
@azralia4265 Жыл бұрын
Hi! I know its 4 months after but is GA8 good for intermediate players on an All Wood blade like Nittaku Acoustic or is it too fast for developing?
@sashbar Жыл бұрын
@@azralia4265 It's a great rubber on Acoustic, that I can confirm, with good control, good dwell and loads of spin. "Intermediate" is a very broad term, it might feel a bit too bouncy/fast for some, others would find it controlled and having many gears. You need a good touch to play short, but it's not too difficult. If you are confident with smith like Rakza 7 or 10, or Faster G1, transition to GA8 is easy. It has similar hardness and speed to Rakza 7, but is more grippy, with higher throw, and lower arc. It's definitely a more advanced rubber compared to R7. XIOM Vega X is similar to GA8, but I prefer GA8, which gives more control and due to its topsheet feels a bit harder even though it's also 47.5 sponge. If in doubt, go for Medium. To develop shots for some intermediate players smith like Ralza Z might be better, it is also grippy, has great spin, but is much slower, not bouncy at all, creates higher arc and is very controlled. But RZ is kind of boring compared to GA8. You'll need to put an effort to generate speed/power with RZ. GA8 is just a ballistic weapon compared to that.

Tenergy 05 It is a rubber that is very difficult to control when you want to counterspin and you must make safe and strong shots when you hit in doubt you will always miss that shot, now Dignics 05 has a super spring rebound that makes it more difficult to attack close to the table, you have to generate more spin than speed so that it falls on the table and it is twice as complicated as its predecessor tenergy 05, Maybe these rubbers work better on slow blades but on my Zhang Jike ALC I had a lot of unforced errors so I would say the spring sponge effect was what affected me in shot control, now I use a Tibhar EL-S on my forehand and a Nittaku G-1 on my backhand and everything is going great and my attack level and aggressive play improved excellently and with more confidence in my own game, and currently I am very interested in trying the Nittaku Hammond Z2 that according to what I have seen are wonderful as well as I have wanted to try the Corlineau Target Pro Gt-h47 that I have also read are wonderful rubbers for both sides of the blade
@bryanwells40639 ай бұрын
I think the rubber being too fast for you is purely a you problem. You need to play better, basically at the level of the pros, to control that rubber. your blade is definitely too fast, and your rubbers made it even faster. Good job finding a rubber that matches your skill level though, most people just keep going through trying to figure out a way too fast rubber and end up playing way too passive (this happened to me a lot)

After years of using tensor (or tensor like) rubbers, I started to use a Chinese rubber on backhand as well. Mainly because of the lack of control in the short game. Maybe it's my lack of experience but receiving serves on backhand was too hard. When I read the spin perfectly I made outright winning points but it was high risk, high reward. It was also difficult to have control over the placement and spin in the short game. Lastly, the bouncy effect is very strong at high impact. Again, good for power but it can be hard to predict how much bounce is added to the ball. If you have enough power maybe just buy a semi-hard not too bouncy backhand rubber, Europe/Japan or Chinese style is only a preference

Xiom Vega Europe has good potential for banana flicks etc, but due to its non-linear nature I can't recommend it to beginners. To clarify: I am beginner! Its hard for me to read what this rubber will do and how far it will shot the ball out. I am using it currently on my BH side paired with Stiga Allround Classic blade, which has great ball feeling, but even then it is hard to control this rubber for me. I would say if you are total newbie like me(3 months playing) go for Bluefire M3/JP03(both 38/40 sponge hardness) for control. If you can get JP03, it has more control than M3 at least to me. I tested M3 VS JP03 on Tibhar IV-L(another good beginner blade) and I say JP is just better, it has finer micropores than M3 and a tad bit more control. Far from the table and I mean really far it will be lacking in Power due to its softness, but it will take you a long time to get to that point in my opinion. One more thing is that Donic's M3/JP03 is 38-40 hardness and XIOM is supposed to be 42,5 when in Reality XIOM is way softer and flexier, the rubber wraps ball a lot more on Vega Europe, but it is too soft in my opinion and with some power it will just shot out of the blade. One more area where I would give more points to XIOM Vega Europe is blocking from mid distance, but other than that JP03 is more beginner friendly and is more linear.

I used on my backhand a very slow rubber, because it was my first self assembled racket and I wanted to have much control. A week ago I changed to 1.9mm Tenergy 05 FX. I have considered the change for a long time. I was not sure, if it is to early to change to a faster rubber. At the beginning it was a whole new feeling, so much power and spin. I had to adapt my movement and I had to accustom to this fast ball contact. Now I think I have the feeling on how to hit the ball with the new rubber. The new rubber have made my game much more offensiv and faster. I make more points with my backhand and I can make much more pressure on the opponents. But it is still hard to deal with fast and spiny forehand topspins. Sometimes they fly over the table. Also it is harder to flick backspin serves. Is this normal, and do you think I will accustom me to the rubber and it will help me to develop more skill, or was it a mistake to change? PS. Good video as always.
@blueheart98732 жыл бұрын
With a fast rubber on backhand it is really hard to do a flick on heavy backspin. You need very good timing and a lot of force (and lots of precision, more than on forehand) to lift it. With a soft rubber it is easier to "grab" the ball but on a hard rubber it bounces off quickly. You may also need better anticipation and good footwork cause your time to flick is much less. I recommend watching how pro's like Fan Zhendong and Ma long lift backspin with backhand. It also has to do with position of the elbow, rising your feet while hitting the ball, etc...

It was played by Hugo Calderano in 2018 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals. Later, Hugo changed the equipment to Xiom, but it was evident for the next two years that he was playing much weaker than when Cornilleau was playing. I have been playing with the ACC max+ for eight or nine months on a Viscaria and it's a killer combo but I think you need a precise stroke if you want to go for max spin. Ripping through the ball is pretty easy but you need to be accurate or otherwise the ball will overshoot which happens to me too many times honestly in actual matches. Hence I ordered the CMD because it's softer which hopefully helps with my problem. Honestly, just try it if you are interested and have the money. I wouldn't put too much value on reviews and stuff because is everyone different and you need to make it work.
@okage693 жыл бұрын
@@deep7496 I don't dislike the D80, but for me it's not worth 80€ (ok all the rubbers are too expensive for what it is, but that's not the question). I've "less" problem to spend 80€ for my D09C. So I just want a change ^^
@blueheart98733 жыл бұрын
I use Joola Dynaryz Acc on forehand. (I wanted a purple rubber and my forehand rubber needed replacement). I tried it on backhand as well so I switched between this and Yasaka Rakza 7 Max thickness. Compared to Rakza 7 it is less spinny, more direct and slightly faster and it is less sensitive to spin. Rakza 7 produces killer spin on backhand topspin shots without exaggerating, Dynaryz Acc makes it easier to play short strokes and still make the ball go fast, but there is less spin. I do not like it for the short game, it doesn't feel like it has much control and it's easy to miss the ball with a flick. The ones that land usually don't come back... Because of the lesser spin it's also less effective to keep pushing with backhand and the opponent can attack more easily. Blocking is way better with Dynaryz Acc because it has a lot of control. I will try the Dynaryz Cmd on backhand in the future cause I prefer Chinese rubbers on the forehand. Dynaryz Agr seems way too fast and too hard for backhand. Lastly, I also played Tibhar Evolution FX-S on backhand and it plays very similar to Dynaryz Acc, but I also did not like it for the same reasons. Tibhar's Evolution rubber also felt weird because of the sponge hardness combined with a non grippy surface, Dynaryz Acc does this better

There r so many modern chinese rubbers for 10-20 bucks that do the same job. And suggesting a great rubber is useless without a good blade - they work as a team. In the end a good backhand rubber is the one that suits your blade and playing style. Everything else u say about this is just partly right and marketing.
@jiboo68502 жыл бұрын
XIOM Vega tour is far better than Europe for backhand. Europe feels too soft and bottoms out super quick at mid-distance. MX-P has a very low dwell time so you really need a perfect and confident backhand to exploit it. Andro Hexer grip and Powergrip are also a great rubbers. R45/R47/R48 too. Donic Bluestorm Z1/Z2. for chinese rubbers i like the Moon speed M and the DHS TG3 39. both boosted. i found the TG3 better than H3. T80 is better than 64 and 05 for its better balance. but all that are only for topspin players. if you play block and push only, T64 and similar rubbers are better. i personally use Vega Tour (all black) forehand and Hexer Grip (all green) backhand.
