We are missing 4 members of Rajesh his family and Penny has talked about her sister before and she wassn't there. Then we also didn't get to meet Bernadet's brothers. The only complete family we know of are Amy (only Child) and Sheldon. Also strange that Rajesh never went to his sistes wedding or that he never told Leonard that Pria was getting married.

My personal explanations on some of these: Sheldon and Amy post-Nobel: Sheldon and Amy obviously focused on having kids after achieving their life goal (Sheldon's actually) and it is very likely that they moved out of their apartment and to a bigger house now that they're rich and famous. I wish this departure had been part of the show, in a similar way to Monica and Chandler leaving in Friends. The gang would inevitably separate. Howard getting a PhD: I don't see why seeing his friends being awarded with a Nobel prize would inspire him to get a PhD since there is no Nobel prize for engineering. Sheldon as a dad: As a sort of a real-life Sheldon, I believe that Sheldon would love his kids more than himself (despite his massive ego) and he would become a very strict and little patient father. But since he is a child himself, he would basically grow up with his own kids in some way. Howard's dad: The most realistic version has to be that Howard's dad had another family which is why his half brother showed up at some point. Any theories including FBI or whatever are simply exaggerated. Leonard's mum: I don't see why her last appearance would make a difference in her relationship with Leonard, since they basically had soft moments even before that. I believe that Leonard's relationship with his mother didn't change at all after the show and I still can't understand why he never cut her off his life since she is basically the reason for all his insecurities. Mrs. Wolowitz: Maybe the writers were planning to show her later throughout the show, but the actress's death changed their plans. Leonard and Penny as parents: I remember reading somewhere that their child became even smarter than Sheldon which would upset him. Anyway, I believe that Leonard would become an affectionate father (because his own parents weren't) and make his child interested in science, while Penny would become the kind of mother which spoils her child, feeding him/her sweets and letting him/her watch TV etc. Raj getting married: At first I was sad that Raj ended up alone, but I came to realise that the writers wanted to show that life can be good even without a love partner, as long as you have good friends and a job that you love. Penny's maiden name: I suppose the writers just didn't care about answering this. People say that the answer is 'Teller' but it was never confirmed, so who knows?

One that always bugged me was never finding out who got tenure. You figure Sheldon would get it after winning the Nobel, but it should have been decided before that. I just hope it wasn’t Kripke. Maybe go to Raj, something he can snuggle up to while everyone else has a wife…lol.

Howard dad is explained during the show. 1 of the 6 explanations by the friends over the letter was Howard's dad had another life that had caught up with him. Later on his half brother turns up proving this was the true version and that his dad is with his other family

I think after Sheldon got his Noble, he would go into some sort of panic or crisis. His entire career is entirely focused on getting a Noble but he never really thought what he would do after receiving one.

In season 3, episode 17, "The Precious Fragmentation," Howard reminisced about his Alf doll after he and the boys found one on a vintage merchandise box. He commented that his mother had bought him the same doll when he was 11 as a way to help him cope with the sudden absence of his dad, Sam Wolowitz. Not much is known about him, but in Howard's story, he said that he wished Alf would someday bring his father back home from Melmac. Given this, he operated on the notion that his dad's disappearance was somehow tied to extraterrestrials. The alien pin symbolized this hope; maybe its also where he got his career path from
