thank you for this video! I did the UCAT exam today and a fire alarm went off which was very disruptive, at first we were told to ignore it because it was a test alarm, then were told we need to evacuate the building, then were told it was a test alarm again and to go back to our seats lol there was also very loud construction during the exam, so the invigilator helped me create two incident reports for the disruptions and I'm waiting to hear back now if I get offered to take the exam again, I would as I didn't do as well as I wanted to

That actually sounds so terrible!!! Were you not given the option for an annotation to be added to your score when it was sent to uni? Or did the annotation actually make no difference to the unis, like did they just not even take it into account? The test centres do really need to start checking the equipment beforehand seeing as our entire applications depend on these tests 🥲

did the fact universities knew about the incdent still allow you to go through the application process for university smoothly?
@AlizaMedic5 ай бұрын
My process did go smoothly but because even with the incident I did already meet the UCAT requirements so I don’t know whether they paid any attention to the incident

Hi, I have 5 weeks until i sit mine and i can’t afford medifiy or anything like that, do you think it is essential?
@AlizaMedic5 ай бұрын
@taniaaa9032 Hey, Medify is definitely worth it and I don’t think I would’ve been able to prepare without it because other resources were using the UKCAT book, which I don’t think I would’ve benefitted from as it wouldn’t replicate the real online exam. However having said that, there are still other resources out there which you could get for cheaper such as Passmed and Medic Portal (I think they do UCAT) but I can’t comment on how accurate or useful these would be as I’ve not used them myself unfortunately. This is just my opinion though! I have heard about people using the book and timing themselves and still scoring well, just personally this wouldn’t be something which would help me.

Hey ! If you eligible for the UCAT bursary you can get a medentry or medify subscription at a lower price :)

Also, hope this isn't too late. PassMedicine is a great website as it provides around 8 time practice tests per subtest and includes 3 full mock tests to have a go at. Something worth to mention is the abstract reasoning is slightly outdated as it states there are 55 questions to be completed in 13 minutes when in the UCAT it's actually 50 questions to be completed in 12 minutes but the questions are really good to practice with. All completely free of charge!
