Very helpful tips! They actually all helped. Was looking for the answer whether to use natural light or not and you answered it plus the tip about the background light and the type of bulb with the lamp was key. The other very helpful tip was about the brows! Can you imagine…it’s totally true! Ha ha.

I just had to comment!! You did such a phenomenal job. Here we are still in this pandemic situation and I am finally fed up with seeing myself on a Zoom meeting/call looking like a dark dot! I don't normally wear makeup but I will now. And I am 63 yrs young so you can imagine at the point in your video where I laughed the loudest...you were so correct!! Great tips! Doing a test run will calm your nerves and log in 5-10 early to make sure you can connect with no issues. My biggest tip is use your mute button unless speaking to the group.

It's the camera and lens I'm using. Mostly it's the lens. I filmed this on a Canon Rebel 80D DSLR camera using a Canon 50mm/f 1.8 lens. It's not something you can easily do on Zoom.

I've been told that some people don't wear pants during video calls, and then they stand up! Zoom has a "Stop Video" button in the lower left corner (computer & mobile) that you can click (or tap) to stop the video of you if you're going to stand up and you are pants-less (or, like the woman in Marnie's video who wanted to keep hearing the call while she went to the bathroom - LOL).

You can angle the lighting a bit, or even tilt your glasses a little. But there’s really no fool proof way to do it.
