Soundwave was the most robot-like because of his monotonic voice. He was modeled after the original Cylons from the original Battlestar Galactica. The Hasbro Soundwave toy had the best-looking robot mode. Arms and legs at just the right length and girth. Soundwave also made a small appearance in Transformers: Beast Machines.

In a way, he was the opposite of Starscream, because he was always loyal to Megatron. When Starscream once attempted to shoot Megatron by surprise, Soundwave warned him. This character trait was reinforced in the Transformers: War for Cybertron video game, where Soundwave re-activates the off-line Megatron at one point in the story.

Mega Tron was one of the ones with Astro train that highlighted the shows impossible physics. He transformed into a gun WAY too small for his body to turn into. Astro Train on the other hand transformations were too large for his robot form. But I promise 90% of kids at the time never noticed, even though the toys would clearly show this.

I would love to see a cartoon/animated/movie adaption of the original G 1 comics... for me those are the real G1 canon :) Yet I liked the cartoons very much, they were too pro autobots. If you think about it, almost every time the cons lost to them even though the cons were the warrios. In the comics the balance is much more realistic.

I like the list, but I think Shockwave should be #3 or #4, and Soundwave should be #2. Starscream is a pretty cool character in some series, like TF Prime and FoC, but the 'Waves are more powerful and are just pretty cool, even in G1.
