Love your videos! Quick question, my guild's not complaining but is saying for my gear score I'm not doing as high dps as I should be according to parses. I play Demo lock to help support the guild. Any advice on what I might could be doing wrong? Most say I'm probably clipping dots but I don't understand exactly when I should be recasting. Anything advice would be greatly appreciated!

As for immolate I have a weakaura in the description for my panel and it will glow when you can recast it and not clip it. The other dots you just allow them to fall and reapply after it's completely done. This video kinda helps with the basics of demo, but every boss can vary strats and philosophy as well. I highly recommend checking out my "How To Pump" series for ICC to see what I suggest doing on any boss. I have no doubt you'll figure it out at some point, though. bro, how can you place those nameplates to bottom? with elvui? Can you link your macros also :)

Nameplates on the bottom are from plater. You go to the plater options and at the top tabs you hit advanced, find anchor point near the bottom left, and then change it to head/feet I believe. My macros are pretty simple, but i might make a pastebin of them after this weekend. I mostly just have demonic empowerment in everything, shadow cleave in corruption, saronite bomb @cursor in life tap and in seed, sapper charge in immolation aura, and blood fury in meta. I also mouseover rank 1 SB, but that's preference. Regardless, I can make a pastebin Monday and just list all of them.

Hi! Is it worth adding in demon charge to your meta to get into range on pull, or is this worse than running and doing your insta casts? :)

Demon charge costs a global is the main reason I shy away from it. If you're pretty far away and don't have good instant casts to use, then sure it's not a bad spell to use for a quick immo aura reposition

When you snipe decimation, should you keep up dots or keep spamming soul fires?

More often than not you keep up dots due to immolate being an incredible spell if it goes most of its duration and then corruption for molten core procs to power up our soul fires

Would holding gloves for lightweave be worth? Reason I ask is that with talented meta not being a perfect 2 minutes while talented gloves will slightly misalign, there fix I've personally found is just holding my off meta gloves for lightweave proc, then when meta is back up at 2:06 with the proc chance on lightweave gloves basically perfectly align with meta again. This does come with a con that you technically "lose* a glove proc if the fight lasts longer than 10 minutes but that realistically shouldn't be happening. * note I largely talent meta cd as my guild has some slower kill times so often I can get 3 metas on a lot of bosses or just barely eek out a bit of a 2nd on fast fights like jaraxus and twins.

I think that's fine, yeah. Very astute observation and I like it. Meta CD is good even for fast kill times to barely eke out a second meta instead of having it at all. Just depends on the boss for sure though

Where / how have you macro'd your Demo cleave? I'm not sure how to deal with that

I put it in corruption or like curses. Just an instant cast you will cast while in meta basically.

Glad to hear! I use all of the addons I showcase in this video, but yeah the big ones that come to mind are bigwigs, weakauras, and elvui

so you said with the snapshotting that the dots need to dropoff, so does that mean you have to never let your dots drop in combat? because you'd need a new meta SP snapshot?

Nah if you re-apply them manually they won't have the same snapshot. Definitely let your dots go full duration and drop off. Snapshotting works for affliction and spriest because they have Talents that refresh durations of dots
