+Mariam Olokodana There are a lot of nods to the TV specials in the movie. One is the fact that the characters was voiced by real kids, and they used the old recordings of Bill Melendez from the specials for the voices of Snoopy and Woodstock. But the biggest thing for me was the music. I was sure that if there was one thing I was going to be disappointed about, it was going to be the music. The composer for the original specials, Vince Guaraldi, is one of my favorite artist! But hearing his songs in the film felt like wishful thinking, because of all the bad reboots like the ones AniMat has talked about. So I thought it was going to be all modern music in it, which there was some. But right within the first few seconds of the film, was the song "Skating" from "A Charlie Brown Christmas". As soon as I heard it, it was like the movie was reassuring me that my "old friends" haven't changed since the last time I've seen them!I found out later that David Benoit was the featured pianist for the film. Not only is Benoit my favorite currently living artist, but he did the music for "I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown" special. One of the songs he wrote for it, "Rerun's Theme", sounds like an original work of Guaraldi's! There is so many things that this movie did right, but to sum it all up: If making a lot of "Ice Age" sequels is what it takes to get movie adaptions like "The Peanuts Movie" or "Horton Hears a Who" then I can deal with an 'Ice Age 5" because it would be worth enduring! ;)

4: They didn't seem to learn their lesson with Death Note; that film has a lot of the same problems as Dragonball Evolution. Both films start in high school, (though to be fair, the anime started in high school too) use a bunch of tropes associated with said setting, both films seem simple compared to their anime counterparts as they deviate from them in ridiculous ways, and both have cringey characters, some of which die in stupid ways. If that wasn't strange enough, they also both have an entertaining actor in it. In Death Note's case, it was Willem Dafoe as Ryuk. You know you're off to a good start when the Green Goblin is representing you as a villain, and Ryuk in that movie even has a few more similarities to said Spider Man villain; manipulating one of the characters and finding delight in anarchy. 3: Here's the funny thing about this and the previous entry; they both involve Air Bending. I am not kidding; just watch Rebeltaxi's review of the latter. As for the former, what's insulting about it is that it turned something that well made into an exposition dump. And if there are a couple movies worse than it, we're in for something terrible, are we? 2: At least we found Waldo, right? 1: The problem with stereotypes is that they send out the wrong messages and may alter one's way of thinking about people, distracting us from the fact that there's more to people than films like this let on. They can be funny or interesting, but only when the act of stereotyping is satirized or used to subvert, like in Zootopia.

Here are my ideas if these cartoons have live action movies: -Overall: they need to be as faithful a possible to the show, they need to watch eveey single episode of the show and have the shows creators as creative consultants, and high budgets -Johnny Bravo: they need a good director like Barry Sonnenfield or Todd Phillips. The film needs a blonde actor who can gain pound to portray johnny. They need to use the same kind of womanizing humor that they used in the series (and if the SJW complain, just tell them "nothing against you, but this is our movie"). The film needs a PG 13 rating -Thundercats: the film should be directed by Peter Jackson and produced by James Cameron. The film also needs a casting full of Oscar-winners and nominees. The soundtrack should be composed by Howard Shore or Hans Zimmer. The film needs an R rating -Samurai Jack: the director should be either Edward Zwick or Christopher Nolan. The film needs an R rating and Hans Zimmer composing the soundtrack. Jack should be portrayed by Will Yun Lee, and some Oscar winner should portray Aku. -Gargoyles: The film should be directed by either Guillermo del Toro, Martin Scorsese or Alex Proyas. The casting needs unknown actors. And have Graeme Revell composing the soundtrack. And the film needs a PG 13 rating -Powerpuff Girls: the director should be either Steven Spielberg, Joss Whedon or Alfonso Cuarón. The film needs a PG 13 rating and either Alan Silvestri or John Williams composing the soundtrack. For the 3 girls, they need to make auditions for lots of 8-years-old little girls. Professor Utonium should be either Josh Brolin or Matthew McConaughey. For the villains, i only think about HIM and Mojo Jojo. If it's HIM, he should be portrayed by Willem Dafoe. And if it's Mojo Jojo, he should be portrayed (through motion capture) by either Andy Serkis or Jason Momoa. -Silverhawks: it should be directed by either James Cameron or Guillermo del Toro. It needs unknown actors and Michael Giachino composing the soundtrack. And it also needs an R rating -Gravity Falls: it needs some of Stranger Things' screenwriters and be directed by either John Carpenter or David Lynch. Stan should be portrayed by either Tom Hanks or Harrison Ford, and i don't know who should portray the kids. The soundtrack should be composed by James newton Howard.

The result came a lot better and now my Top 10s have only an NC-inspired feeling to them, but they still say that they're my own videos. So yes, I will say that I have made mistakes like that back then, but I can't do anything to change the presentation now. It is what it is. I can only learn what I've done and correct them for my future videos. But even with that, I still hope you enjoyed the Top 10 nonetheless :)
@PlanetZoidstar9 жыл бұрын
+ElectricDragon505 Thanks for the response, and it's great that you were able to find your own style and "voice" I figure alot of internet reviewers start out wanting to emulate the more popular, existing ones, before they figure out their own way of doing it. Keep pushing forward is my advice, not that you asked, and I most definitely did enjoy the Top 10, and hey, at least you moved past emulating Nostalgia Critic, in the same way The Irate Gamer did NOT move past copying the AVGN.

+Greatsaiyakirby in reality, that's pretty much everyone, especially people in the animation community. a lot of people's art style starts off looking similar to either a TV show, movie, or another animator on youtube. but eventually they developed their own style, same with most reviewers :)

The only worst films based on a cartoon I can think of nowadays are the ones made by Disney. Like Maleficent (Disney's failed attempt at making their Sleeping Beauty version of Wicked) and Maleficent 2: Mistress of Evil, The Lion King (2019), the live-action Aladdin with Will Smith, Pete's Dragon (Paul's Dragon), Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass, and the live-action Cinderella (because it shows Cinderella dancing happily rather than struggle to escape when her evil stepmother locks her up to ruin her one chance at happiness with her Prince.) The list goes on!!! However though, the only Disney live-action remakes and movies based on a cartoon I have a soft spot for or like and are the ones I considered a guilty pleasure are Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson as Belle, The Jungle Book live-action remake (because it shows Bagera fighting Shere Kahn to protect Mougli which I thought was awesome!), and Geroge of the Jungle.

I don't remember the brats ever being like that. From what I can remember. They all had their own personalities, their own individual hobbies outside of fashion and their own goals, which they consistently worked towards achieving throughout the films and shows. Or at least, the writers tried to give them that. Did they succeed? Probably not, but I wouldn't know. It's been like 14 years since I saw any of it.

Here are tv shows that i think deserve a movie adaptation: 5. Mixels: Yeah, i know that's a discontinued Lego brand, but i honestly think a Lego Mixels movie would be a possibility. I imagine it to be a soft reboot of the franchise and have it be done in full hand drawn animation and not CGI animation or live action. If it's at all possible, i would have either the original cast to come back to reprise their respective roles or new rising celebrity stars. For the story, i would have it be the same as Epic Comedy Minisode, but extend the running time, have King Nixel be the main antagonist and Major Nixel be a secondary antagonist, develop the 6 leaders of each tribe (including Gobba who in this film is the leader of the Fang Gang), have the film handle mature themes, flesh out the world of the Mixels more than the cartoon and capture the spirit, charm and humor of the series. Speaking of traditional animation, one of the lead animators should be James Baxter. Film's rating: G 4. Inspector Gadget: Like with the original 1999 movie, this could still be distributed by Disney, but have it be more faithful to the original cartoon and give it good jokes! For the director, have it be someone new who loves and understands the source material. Make it a comedy-drama where it has a more darker tone than the show, but still have the charm, creativity and humor that made the show awesome. For someone to play Inspector Gadget, i'm not really sure who would fit the role, but for Dr. Claw, i'd want Liev Schreiber to play him, and make him a funny, but still threatning villain, and if they want to reveal his face, have some build up for the reveal by the end of the film if there is to be a sequel. You know, Fire Lord Ozai that sucker. Have some of the effects be done through a mix of CGI and animatronics and for the opening or ending, have the original theme song be played in the credits. Film rating: PG 3. Legends of Chima: Again, another discontinued Lego theme, but i think the concept of anthropomorphic animals in live action has potential. Now, i know the characters would obviously be made through motion capture CGI, but honestly, i'd rather have them be portrayed through practical makeup effects, maybe be done by Howard Berger and Greg Nicotero, the same duo who worked on the Chronicles of Narnia and the Walking Dead. If there should be CGI, have it be done sparingly with impossible shots, the scenes of the creatures putting on Chi on their chests and have Plovar, the crocodile's personal butler/dentist, be a photorealistic Egyptian Plovar. I'm not sure who would play the characters, but for Laval and Lagravus, and i'm sorry if i spelled his name wrong, i think both Ty Simpkins and Hugo Weaving would fit the 2 roles. As for filming locations, i think either South Africa or New Zealand. As for the architects, mainly the Lion Castle and Crocodile Fortress, have them be made from miniatures. For the film's story, have it a more edgier and darker take on the show. In fact, have there be a trilogy of all 3 seasons condensed into 1, just not how it was done in the Last Airbender movie. For the director, either James Cameron or Jordan Vogt Roberts. For the ending credits, have the theme songs of the first 2 seasons be played, while the final film, based on the final season, have an original song. Film's Rating: PG-13 2. Lolirock: I'm not sure who would be playing the 5 main girls, but for the main villian, Gramorr, i'd want him to be played by either Benedict Cumberbatch or Jason Isaacs, given what they did in the Hobbit and the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. In fact, i think Tabitha St. Germain should reprise her role as Amaru for the film. Have the special effects be done through a mix of CGI and practical effects, like some of the monsters and Amaru be done through animatronics done by Neal Scanlan, have the Ephiedian castle be made in a minature effect. As for the world of Ephedia, have it be done through sets done by the same production team that worked on the sets for Age of Resistance and not a CG environment. For the monster scenes, give them their original designs, but remove the one eyeball and give some of them two eyes and a different color scheme, and have them be homages to some of the classic giant monster films from the early days of filmmaking, from King Kong to Godzilla. Have the film tackle some mature themes and some dark moments. Also, split the film into a trilogy of films, one based on season 1, the other season 2, and the last one an imagining of what the currently unproduced 3rd season would be like. For production distribution, i think they should be distributed by Netflix. For director, either Guillermo del Toro or someone new whose a fan of the show, but definitely have the original creators come in as creative consultents or screenwriters. Film's ratings: PG And the number 1 cartoon that deserves a movie adaptation is........... Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal! I know the final episodes are to be made next year and there is Tales of Savagery entering the Oscars, but maybe a live action movie adaptation would be awesome! For the role of Spear, i think Cliff Curtis would be perfect as him, while having prosthetic makeup on. For the CGI on the creatures, have them be done by Framestore CFC, the same studio behind the Paddington films and Walking with Dinosaurs, along with animatronics. For filming locations, i think South Africa or Argentina, the Tronna Pinnacles and Alaska would be perfect. For director, i'd want Albert Huges to handle the project, given what he did for Alpha. Finally, the film should be split into a duology, one based on the first five episodes and the other based on the upcoming episodes coming next year. Film's rating: R Thank you.
