Great techniques and tips! As a former pitcher I remember some of these drills from 25 years ago. Now my 9 year old son is starting to pitch. Dang do I feel old lol 😆!!

Wow ! good video ! It helps my kids a lot because I'm always looking for new exercises to increase their technique. I can't wait to see the video on the velocity exercises. Keep up the good work my friend!

Great videos, thank you. I used your backwards to forwards last year for our AAA team and it really made a difference. Where do you get the colored hanging pitching targets used in this video?
@ARMPitchingDevelopment10 ай бұрын
I found them on Amazon I believe if you search K targets. Maker is Oats specialty.

Love the videos! My son (9) is having a really hard time pointing his toe to the catcher on his forward step to delivery. He's often at a 45° or less. Any suggestions?
@ARMPitchingDevelopment2 жыл бұрын
45 not that big a problem. His hips may be slightly leaning more to IR. Keep reinforce him to do the best he can with that it will work out. Thanks for support 🙏

Do you ever use the Pitcher's Power Drive? That's a great tool to get a pitcher to lead with his hips. There are lots of videos on KZbin that teach the same concept, but the Power Drive forces you to get it right. It's expensive, but it works!

Thanks for the vid. How much do you think a young 12 year old should be deadlifting?
@ARMPitchingDevelopment2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm...try and get to body weight and work from there.

I can't stress good form and a back brace/belt enough. I started lifting weights at 12 and wasn't really taught proper techniques, even in high school with heavy lifting for football. Paying the price now at 42 with a bad lower back.

How many reps do you recommend when doing these drills and do you recommend limiting the number of different drills to one or two per practice or how would you spread these out?
@ARMPitchingDevelopment Жыл бұрын
Build on them. Start backwards to get forward. 7-8 reps each. I'd make sure they get the first down before moving on to the next and so on. Thanks for reaching out

Can a 12 yr old practice these drills every day, say 5 reps of each drill? What would you recommend?
@ARMPitchingDevelopment Жыл бұрын
I think 3-4 times a week would be good. Low effort to start with. Focused on the form would be best.
