Seemed pretty overrated to me to be entirely honest, I thought Dipper’s constant frustration with his, admittedly, overly trusting sister that just lets gruncle Stan’s plan come to pass without consulting him or coming to an informed decision just continues to excuse her putting her needs over those of her brother’s and it’s honestly just sickening.

@@animuszen136 it was more of a love vs fear type thing, it’s not that she didn’t trust dipper, in fact she was JUST about to press the button when dipper got hit before that scene with Stan, dippers judgment was covered in fear of the world ending and so was Mabel’s, she just in the last moment put her fear aside listening to her heart (That Stan isn’t a bad guy and trusting him) it’s just sad that they represented the fear through dipper (who is my favorite character seriously I love this kid!)though I guess it makes sense cuz he was just fearful of the safety of the world, but yeah that’s how I see it at least

In Weirdmaggedon 2 it was original planned to have Dipper snap Dippy-fresh's neck by turning it backwards but it got cut out because it was a bit too much for Disney. I love this show in its entirety, but it's crazy how hugely impactful single lines can be, like in the last episode when Stan sacrifices himself, PUNCHING BILL FUCKING CYPHER IN THE FACE, saying, with a laugh, "I was good for something after all." Magnasword2 Honestly, the only reason I would put Dreamscapers on the list would be for the relationship between Stan and Dipper, but I wouldn't because of bill. Don't get me wrong I love Bill, but the episode was clearly just testing the waters. All we got from him at the time was he was random, which we've already seen before with other villains. Also, if you re-watch the episode you might notice his voice is a little off, like maybe Alex's voice want doing to well the day they recorded

I can agree with you the Stan/Dipper stuff is pretty powerful. The only reason I say Bill is because it's the first time he appears and I kinda have a soft spot for the way he pushes the boundaries of comedy in the episode. I will probably watch it again later to confirm about the voice though. I never noticed anything but I'm enamoured with the show so I never really tried to critique it as much as I would other shows like TTG

My Top 11 Gravity Falls episodes: 11. Carpet Diem (This one wasn't serious and it didn't contribute much to the main story, but it was bust-your-gut hilarious and it strengthened the twins' relationship.) 10. The Time Traveler's Pig (Though I personally disliked Mabel in this episode, it was such a refreshing and funny take on time travel and I enjoyed the time paradox parodies.) 9. Fight Fighters, Soos And The Real Girl, and Dungeons, Dungeons, And More Dungeons (Yes, I'm grouping them into one category, because I can't just put all three of them on there. They're similar but amazing in their own right, with so many gaming references and parodies that made it so clever.) 8. Dreamscaperers (This was a jumble of awesomeness rolled into one. Here we have the debut of Bill Cipher, the mindscape of Stan Pines to explore, and easily the eeriest episode in the first season.) 7. Double Dipper (Who didn't enjoy this one? It takes your average clone episode from every cartoon and gives it a twist: the clones are likeable and you sympathize with them. It's so funny and charming and it's amazing how Dipper over thinks this one small act to get it perfect.) 6. Into The Bunker (Again, references to the max. We see a new side of Wendy and one of the creepiest supernatural beings Gravity Falls has to offer. But it still manages to maintain a balance between spooky and funny.) 5. The Last Mabelcorn (Laugh-out-loud hilarious and one of the few adventures Mabel takes on without her brother. The jokes are fantastic and C-belle's voice had me cracking up.) 4. Sock Opera (It's so high on my list because it's the absolute best of Bill Cipher (who will have me laughing within five seconds of screen time, by the way) and it's dark yet a humorous take on possession, if that exists. Some of the best quotes from this triangle are in this episode.) 3. Weirdmageddon 1, 2, and 3 (The series finale. Enough said.) 2. Northwest Mansion Mystery (An episode all about Pacifica, somehow taking a one-dimensional character, the anti-Mabel, and giving her so many new dimensions. The teaming up of Dipper and Pacifica is unlikely yet a pleasure to watch, the paranormal aspect was darker than ever in this one. Satanic rituals, a hellish ghost seeking revenge, people turned to wood, and blood dripping from the mouths of inanimate animal heads? Disney, everyone! DISNEY!) 1. Not What He Seems (Well, of course this is the best. Not the funniest or the most charming at all, but the most serious. And heartbreaking. Testing the boundaries of trust, belief, and everything you know about a person. The suspense was so thick it was choking. But it was great.) Honorable Mentions: Dipper and Mabel Vs. the Future The Stanchurian Candidate Blendin's Game Society of the Blind Eye Heh, realized I listed basically a third of the show.

Bambi's mom's death was sad, but it wasn't overly depressing or gory or scary because its Disney, but with some episodes in gravity falls, they didn't have to show the more disturbing images ("Dipper's final form" in into the bunker, Pretty much everything in northwest mansion mystery) and they could have been more lame with it, and i'd say the same thing could go for Cherneabog but they weren't and it was cool!

I remember when the trailer for Gravity Falls came out a few years ago. I saw the "Butt Island" pun and was like this show is going to be TERRIBLE I never thought I could be so happy for being so wrong Fight Fighters was the first episode I watched and I was amazed at the level of charm and tenacity the show had. Both finales had me in stitches and in shock. And I have to agree that Not What He Seems was my favorite. The ending to that episode is one of my favorite plot twists ever in an animated series. This show was a masterpiece and definitely a show I will love for a long time.

Yah I remember seeing the commercials, thinking it was gonna be awful. This was back when I still watched a lot of Disney Channel, although that quickly stopped being the case afterward. I was bored at my grandparents house, so I turned it on out of curiosity. I watched like the third episode or something and I was hooked. I was Dipper's age, 12, when I watched that episode, and for almost 4 years, until the shows end back in February of 2016, it was a family event. The whole family would gather around the tv to watch the new episode of gravity falls. By the time it ended I was 16, and watching myself grow with the show and looking back on that now was just amazing.

What about Weirdmageddon 1? This is when the climax really started, and it shows that despite the fact that Bill's power in the real world was weak before this, he was now fully in control and mayhem just started spreading. It does still show that he's not FULLY in control since his weirdness can't spread beyond Gravity Falls. It really sets up the final battle.

A couple other good things about # 10: 1. GIFfany's voice actress was wonderful. 2. It was the best animated portrayal of an abusive relationship I've seen since Batman's 'Mad Love.' The twist being that here it's the female (GIFfany) being the abuser, saying a lot of things that are right out of the abuser- playbook (i.e. "Other girls just make fun of you!" "I'm the only one who can love you!"). I'd say a good honorable mention would be 'Land Before Swine.' Good humor, good action, good drama, great portrayals of the major characters, a great episode for people who've never seen the show before to get introduced to it on.

Finally caught up with your Gravity Falls list. Mostly agree, I would have added "Into the Bunker" somewhere. You had Mark Hamill voicing one of the creepiest villains in the show, scenes both hilarious and dramatic, and (in my view) the best possible resolution of Dipper's hopeless crush on Wendy. And, of course, Wendy herself kicking some serious butt on the one hand and showing how much she cares for and looks after her friends on the other. And the closing scene when Wendy so gently lets down a clearly distraught Dipper while still affirming his value to her as a friend, is heartbreaking yet beautiful - one of my favorite scenes in the series. The only thing missing from the episode was more Grunkle Stan, although his opening cameo was on the mark. But then, there are so many great episodes that it would be hard to limit any list to eleven. Thanks for your video.

Most of the questions are answered but there are still a plot points left unfulfilled. 1. What did Ford see/do while he was on the other side? 2. What about the key that given to Maple and Dipper by president Quentin Trembley? 3. What about the UFO that crash landed there? 4. What was in the other two journals? 5. What was in Ford's laptop? I think one of my favorite episodes (that wasn't on this list, anyway) is "Roadside Attraction". I was born and raised in the pacific northwest, and when I was a kid, my parents would take my brother and I on road trips through Oregon and Washington to visit Portland and Seattle over the summer. We passed a lot of historic roadside shops, scenic overlooks and chintzy dives every summer, and that episode really drove the nostalgia home.

More due to how it handles it's story and the characters though, you seem to have more of a connection with the setting than anything. It also being (for all intents and purposes) a filler episode deep into Season 2B doesn't help matters.

This episode, to quote *ahem* LOLFlyingPotatoes is super out of place chronologically. It felt like it was written by a fan. Stan is manipulated so easily by Darlene, one of the worst villains of the show, and it just feels forced. Dipper's side plot with all the girls is super weird, and the girls all of a sudden pop out of nowhere and into the cave. And I didn't laugh a single time, which is new for Gravity Falls. This would have been horrible even in season 1, but again, the fact that it takes place before the prelude to the Weirdmaggeddons just adds to the amount of garbage this adds to the show. Stan's story is really boring, and he has a camper. That's a thing. For my money, this is the worst episode of Gravity Falls, and hinders an otherwise perfect show.

You somehow managed to summarize A Tale of Two Stans without major spoilers! My hat is off to you! Here's my top 11 best: *The Inconveniencing* (The Duchess Approves! The Lamby Dance! Smile Dip!), *Not What He Seems* , *A Tale of Two Stans* , *Dungeons Dungeons and More Dungeons* (seems simple, but the show successfully went back to being lighthearted and silly after such an intense pair of episodes. I'm glad it won't get dragged out (as sad as i am it's over), but they could have used more time to build up weirdmageddon and put a bit more effort into Mabel and Dippers development near the end (specifically Mabel's). One of my favorite parts of Weirdmageddon is when Pacifica gives Dipper and Mabel their presents. Dipper got a Ghost Busters ripoff DVD. Mabel got a golf club. Pacifica got them presents that reflected her favorite memories with each of them. Mabel's kindness to her at the end of their golf match, and Dipper's belief in her when they fought the ghost.

Although I wouldn't peg it as my favorite episode, I'd say into the Bunker should have popped up somewhere on the list. Although it's not nearly as good as Not What he Seems, it does represent a significant turning point in Dipper's character development, and at the very least deserves some commendation for handling the end of Dipper's pseudo romance with Wendy on a very mature and realistic note. Also the shape shifter is possibly the scariest Non-Cipher monster in the show. Also, Dipper and Mabel vs the Future I think should be on the list, even though it does have a few hammy moments, it is all in all a masterfully put together episode that sets up Weirdmageddon really well.

I think "Into the Bunker" should have made the list. It was a very touching and heartfelt piece about first loves and the struggles of being in that place between childhood and adulthood. Weirdmageddon 3 was certainly a good episode, but it also displays some lost opportunities. Pacifica's character development was ignored in favor of cheap laughs derived from her posh and snobbish nature and Mable's selfishness is only really addressed in one line. It's a great episode to be sure and definitely a better ending than most and even more impressive considering most animated series don't get a proper ending. I loved it but still I must acknowledge where it falls short. I love this show, and I think it really, really would have benefited from a third season. Some characters really did not get the screen time they deserved and the world of Gravity Falls is so choke full of mystery and wonder that material for episodes is near limitless. I know that the design philosophy dictated that it had to end but I still think it should have ran for at least a third season.

King DJ Mabel is Doug and Rob's favorite character, so I understand why he'd put it up higher than NWMM. Honestly, I'd put it up there too. I'd honestly say that episode is when the series finally mastered the humor behind Mabel's naturally obsessive personality in regards to boys as it manages to make her both creepy, adorable, and sympathetic (whereas she was just adorable and sympathetic beforehand). It also exposed her tragic flaw - that because of this, she's naturally self-centered, a flaw the show never resolved and became integral to the plot more as the series went on - especially in the finale.

Gravity Falls is to Disney XD what Avatar was to Nickelodeon, and what Steven Universe is for Cartoon Network. It seems goofy, silly, and stupid on the surface, but once you watch it, you just get so sucked in, and so involved, you see the masterpiece being played out in front of you. Yes, it's silly, lighthearted, and kinda kid-friendly, but it can also be heartbreaking, scary, mysterious, and very, very intelligent. That's what i love about these shows. There is one episode that is forgettable, not bad, where Dipper, Mabel, Mabel's friends, Soos, and Uncle Stan go prank other famous landmark around Gravity Falls, and got attacked by half ladies half spider.

I think the best testament to how good Not What He Seems is is the fact that I watched this video before I saw the series, so I knew about Mabel raising her hands. But while watching the episode, The pacing was so perfect, the suspense was so gripping, that I completely forgot everything I knew about the show going in, and surrendered myself to the show to the point that when I saw her raise her hands, I was as shocked and gripped as I would have been if I had seen this without prior knowledge. That, my friends, is a testament to how powerfully good this show is.
