Dominique, first of all, I want to say Thank You! A few weeks ago my husband and I went to Cancun. We met some friends there, that we had not seen in a couple of years. The first evening there, when I got dressed for dinner, my friends were so surprised to see how I looked. I am the oldest one of the ladies. (65 yrs) But, thanks to your advice on taking care of our skin, how to apply makeup and hair advice, my friends could not believe the change in me. Oh, how I love organization on the ground and in the air! As a former Flight Attendant, I definitely pack a small first aid kit which will include Tylenol and nasal spray, several packs of Handiwipes (I am going to wipe down that tray table every time!) a small flashlight, and I will buy a large bottled water before boarding. Also I will put a blanket scarf in my carry on that I can use as a blanket if needed. I have the makeup mirror you showed and it is awesome! Also the Color Science Sunscreen is a staple in my cosmetic bag. This was a great video and you nailed it!!

Couple of tips as we travel a lot. we have a manual luggage scale with a dial. YOu don't want to get caught with the battery dying while you're on your trip. I would also suggest compression packing cubes. They are great. If going somewhere cold where you have to take bulkier clothes, we got a compression bag for a sleeping bag. It's made of nylon so super light weight and you can pack it full and then pull the straps down tight to compress. I also have a makeup bag that has the brushes in the lid and love it. Having the brushes under the bag will be a pain to get them out without tipping the bag over. I try to keep things simple when traveling. Repel makes a great natural deet free lemon and eucalptus spray you can get at walmart. It really works.

Since I started following Rick Steve's advice on traveling with one bag or no more than 2 that gpes on the plane. It's been a cinch and so easy to get through the airport. No lost luggage.

Sadly the Kenzzi was one of my worst device purchases. Saw no results after 12 weeks and also the device started sparking when plugging it in. I’m glad you’ve had better results with it. Thanks for the travel tips.❤

@@dominiquesachsetv I purchased this over 2 years ago and after the 12 weeks I thought I’d put it aside and try again later. When pulling it back out after about a year or less it started to spark up when plugging it in. I was well after the purchase date at that point so I wouldn’t have been able to receive a refund. I’m not sure why the device decided to glitch like it did after no use for awhile. Many seem to have great results, but unfortunately I wasn’t one of them. I forgot to mention, if you see this reply, that it’s really good to see you feeling better, you’ve been in my prayers since your mom’s passing.❤️

I had absolutely no luck with the quality of Kenzi…I was getting results but the unit kept shorting out. I went through 3 of them before I finally gave up. No more products made in China for me. Have a Smoothskin unit now & it’s great!

Super helpful tips! I am fortunate to have traveled plenty in my life, and made the decision several years ago to stop air travel. It’s just lost its thrill and excitement because of so many rules, and our loved ones can’t even meet us at the gate anymore. It’s just one gigantic hassle and no tropical beach is worth it. I have most of these things! My packing cubes are compression which saves even more space. I also have compression socks for a long flight. Very important to help avoid blood clots in your legs.

A cross body purse that can put in carry on, as only allowed 1 personal item. I also take a scarf or shawl, doubles for a night out and planes are SO COLD! My RFD wallet, too many out there scan without you knowing it getting your credit card number. Lip moisturizer and sunglasses and foldable hat!! I've been through several skin cancer serious surgeries, need a hat! Chewing gum and I always, always take few Clorox wipes for tray table. Or, if you sit in the middle seat, to wipe down. Actually you don't want the middle seat because that's for most people put their children and that's where accidents can happen, as told by my best friend and airline hostess. Last but not least, a pad of paper from dollar store, and pen, It never fails, I always think of something once I sit down on the plane.

I love the packing cubes. Just used them for the first time (bought a similar set to the one you suggest) for a trip to France. They worked so perfectly! Easy to take them out of my suitcase and into the hotel dresser drawers. I even used them for my backpack carry-on so everything stayed so organized. Will not travel without them ever again! I also take a spray for my bed sheets…similar to your bug spray. All natural from an essential oil company; TerraSheild. A few years ago when bedbugs were all the talk….it gave me piece of mind as I slept!

Love your travel tips! I bought a lighted travel makeup mirror about a year ago and I absolutely love it! Sunscreen tip from my dermatologist: use the kids’ version as it has more zinc in it. I also use the EltaMD Sunscreen for face but I have had a few skin cancers (hereditary) removed in the last few years so I follow doctor’s suggestions.

I packed a first aid kit with a few basic meds, band-aids, wipes, oral hygiene items, mini sewing kit, etc. My son laughed at me, saying I was traveling like an old lady. Well, my "old lady kit" (which is what we all call it now) came in handy for all: one persons injured his finger, another had pain, another had nausea, etc. Everyone in the group benefited from the old lady kit! First one of all, my son, who landed with the flu or covid, but mama had dayquil/nyquil on hand! Tip: Just pack a few essentials to have in a pinch. Of course there was a pharmacy where we were, to get more specific or plentiful supplies. Of course, you may find a tailor around you. But in the spur of the moment, never mind if it's 2 am, these essentials come in handy. Mine fit in a 8 x 8 Ziploc bag.

Now it's rather boring, unoriginal, and off-putting to have yet another talking head infomercial influencer trying to disguise selling a brand just like every social media "digital creator." To me, her self-proclaimed title as a "digital creator" and her current modus operandi reveal more about the pressures in the social media world to make sure that her content is grabbed up by the algorithms to monetize eyeballs for the sponsoring companies more than her invested interest to be a valued resource to an audience that once gravitated to her message.

My husband and I traveled to the Dominican Republic in January, and we could have used that luggage scale. Our luggage going was just under the weight. Coming back, however, was a different story. The moisture in the Dominican was so high that it carried over to our luggage and we were overweight. Thank goodness we bought a cute travel bag from one of the local shops so we were able to avoid paying the $178 extra fee and transferred some of our things to the bag.

Great info on products to help with packing - Im ordering a few now 😉-- but what I pack now at 55 is TOTALLY different than what i packed in 30s & 40s. With all of the self care skin products & routines you use, share, promote... HOW do you condense and be more selective on what to pack and still maintain a skincare regime?? Do some items just need to be skipped for that travel week?? And can creams, hair, sunscreen, foundations, sprays ALL be okay in a carry-on bag??
