1) It's explained that the results are not consistent, it doesn't *have* to show one's greatest/innermost desires, they can be passing whims. Like, say, lamenting that you couldn't find the tie you wanted to wear to work that day. 2) Even outside of that, there are plenty of things that can change without being represented physically. Such as being rid of physical/mental afflictions like Tourrettes, a burdensome memory, depression, etc. Just because drastic change isn't visible *physically* doesn't mean that one is not desired.

exactly. in fact there's a classification, "threat level." it just indicates how unpredictable/dangerous something is as opposed to object class. this camera is safe cause it is unlikely it will breach but it's threat level could be considered something like orange (dangerous). meanwhile an entity that can teleport at will but is very friendly and does nothing harmful would be object class euclid/keter and have threat level green (not beneficial but not harmful)

I wonder why SCP 978 isn't used as part of the containment process of sentient SCP's. If the photo comes back showing the other SCP eating a person you know for sure you have a problem on hand, but if the photo shows the SCP doing something mundane you have supporting evidence of the SCP being most likely peaceful and would have lost nothing from the experiment.
